We had a fabulous stay at this extraordinary lodge. The entire staff from Reception to Kitchen, Front of house and Housekeeping were friendly and thoroughly professional.
We shall remember these past 2 days fondly as one of the highlights of our travels!

Everything about our stay at the lodge was perfect. The rooms, grouds and views are all beautiful. I'd recommend planning one day with no activities so you can enjoy the grounds - walk to Huka Falls, tennis, pool, etc.

The food was incredible. They hold a pre-dinner drinks an

The setting, staff and facilities were commensurate with the price. The chef was an incredible disappointment. Read other reviews for the wonders of this place and we endorse these positives, particularly in regard to the excellent staff. If food matters to you, you need to recon

We had heard much about Huka Lodge from friends, but seeing the actual facility and the physical setting exceeded our expectations to say the least. My wife and I stayed in a beautiful suite with a beautiful elevated deck and a direct view of the river. Service was impeccable

Can one eat I the restaurant if not staying in the hotel?
Hi Robert We have stayed at Huka a number of times and, subject to how full the lodge is at the time, they do allow non guests to dine. Email them in advance and I am sure you will be allowed to dine. The property is truly wonderful and, if you are allowed to eat there, I would recommend dining in the wine cellar

I am planning to stay for 2 nights in summer (between Christmas and New Year), but it's almost half the price in winter. I get that the time I'm looking at is absolute peak holiday season - but is it going to be that much better in summer than winter? I'm interested to hear from anyone who's stayed both summer AND winter - how it compares.
I was there January, our winter.... Amazing weather, Amazing place.
