Very quiet, large and well appointed rooms. Lovely view. However, faulty management is doing whatever possible, to have this hotel degraded. Found trash from the people before me in my room the day I arrived, kitchen was not properly cleaned. Trash plus my own was still there on the second day. Third day it was removed. Toilet paper was not... More

We spent two precious nights away from our business. We wanted peace and quiet, green fields, river sounds, birds singing at dawn. A big, comfortable bed, fresh, light airy apartment. One Burgess Hill ticked al the boxes. A delightful river walk too! We loved our stay there!

Lovely spot very quiet, only a short drive to city centre. Room was very clean and well presented. We had twin studio room and appeared to be the only people staying in the whole complex - perhaps could have been upgraded to a slightly bigger room but nevertheless still a pleasant stay

Amazing!!!!!!!! This place was so beautiful. About 5 min drive out of town but so peaceful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and it was everything you could ever need. 2 story room glass windows everywhere looking out onto a grassed area with tables to sit and eat and just past that a beautiful view of a river with... - The hotel is set on beautiful grounds with a river running below. You can go on a nice short walk along the river loop and the views are idyllic. You will wake up to a beautiful view, no doubt. - The hotel is in a quiet location yet only 5 mins drive to the city centre. It is a... More

We recently stayed a night at One Burgess Hill and were happy with our experience. Service was friendly and the grounds are very park-like and pretty. Our room overlooked the river and ferns which was one of the best views we've ever had from a motel. A few minutes drive from town. Just a few petty things eg only 2... More

We had high expectations of this place given the reviews and we were not disappointed. Set across a range of buildings in the grounds the location is superb with the river running below. Our room was spacious, modern. clean and very well-equipped. The bathroom was a huge wet-room. Andrew at check-in was very welcoming and friendly. We had one major... More

We stayed here for one night in an elite studio room. One Burgess Hill is located outside of town so you definitely require a car to get into New Plymouth. At the top of the driveway is the most spectacular view of Mt Taranaki. Check in was easy and the staff pleasant and welcoming. We stayed in an elite studio... More

My partner and I stayed here on a suggestion from a friend. We booked the elite studio which has a bath right at the window! It was a great choice as we were able to tramp up the mountain then return to a hot bath and telly! The view from the room was beautiful and the sound of the river... More
