By sheer luck we happened upon this little corner of paradise. Individual modern apartments with a kitchenette, living area, luxurious bedroom and exceptional jacuzzi bath included in our choice. Relaxing views of the river and bush. Fantasticly helpful staff and a 5 minute drive into New Plymouth. Can't wait to stay again. Best stay in NZ so far.

Not a typical hotel, peaceful and quiet countryside with sheep, trees, olive grove, river, and just tranquil beauty. Still close enough to amenities but a nice escape for rest and recharging. Definitely would stay again and/or recommend!!

Fabulous location about 5-10 minutes outside centre of New Plymouth. Accommodation was very well appointed with great views over the river and bush. The management are very friendly and informative with good advice about dining out places in the city. If in the area again would certainly return.

One Burgess Hill is about 5min south of the City Centre. As you enter the grounds you are greeted with a lovely tree lined lane which starts relaxing you straight away. The office person was so friendly and helpful. You follow the tree lined lane down past the gym (which is open 24/7) and onto the units. We had a...

Gorgeous setting just outside town - right in the middle of beautiful nature, with some sheep, scenic views with forest and river. Perfect for breakfast outside while watching the birds enjoy their own breakfast in the trees all around. Every unit feels like its own wee house. Spacious, clean and tidy rooms. Good-size bathrooms, Kitchenette well equipped for breakfast and...

We did not see a lot of places to stay in the New Plymouth area, though I am sure they are there. We did come upon the conference center, One Burgess Hill that is just east of town. We were staying for two nights and were able to book a place here. There is a blind turnoff and then a...

out of the way, secluded and very special place to stay for a few days - however the bed was terrible and not of the same high standard as the location and facilities - suggest an upgrade to a cruise style bed

If you love nature this is the place to stay. The only sound is of birdsong and the view is of trees and the river. Only several mins drive from the city centre too. The rooms are very spacious with everything you need for a relaxing and comforting stay.

This is an amazing place. Not a hotel but units built on the side of the hill. Very modern inside and so clean! We thought the complex was new and were so surprised to be told it was 10years old. Our unit had huge patio doors out to a terrace which overlooked the countryside. So quiet and peaceful but only...
