Great hotel for a 3 night stopover, food and service was excellant, would stay again if we get the chance to visit region again. Within walking distance to centre of town and the "Eye", one of the best bike rides that travels along the coast on shared paths.

Aptly named, a charming setting, good menu options, delicious meals, I think the service let the night down, to rushed to take our drinks order (hadn't even opened the menu), came back as couldn't find the wine ordered and asked us what we would like instead, we suggested the menu to have another look, and then she stood there waiting...

I was here with a large work group for dinner. Very nice food and drink selection. We were in a semi private room which was great as we could be rowdy without disturbing anyone else (and vice versa). Not the cheapest option for dinner but it's such a nice building and gives a great atmosphere. Very handy location in the...

This boutique hotel with its bistro provided the highlight of our recent trip to New Zealand. We had a spacious suite and the best welcome that we have ever received at a hotel. The staff were great, welcoming and just so helpful, particularly Jill and Raymond. Great menu and excellent food at the bistro. Certainly exceeded our expectations, couldn't recommend...

We loved our 3 days in New Plymouth, and the Nice Hotel was the perfect place to stay - central -we walked everywhere- charming rooms (we had the Royal Suite - huge and comfy) and the best restaurant in town. And I must mention how wonderful the staff were - informative, obliging and just so friendly! And did I mention...

I can not speak more highly of this Hotel. I visited for the weekend for the Garden Festival and stayed with a group of 14 people. The meals and service throughout our entire stay was outstanding led by Terry and Jill. One of our group admired the fresh flowers to our waiter. He explained he grew them and then the...

The best boutique hotel in Taranaki. We were warmly greeted and treated like VIP's - the whole time! Our room was perfect! Spaciousness and taste in its very essence! The most comfy bed with the crispiest sheets made daily. Free cycles to pedal the New Plymouth Coastal Cycleway and enjoy the en route cafe! Watched the white baiters; took in...

This place is truly stunning! We stayed in the Pohutukawa Suite for two nights. The suite is filled with eclectic art & beautifully decorated. The bed is so damn comfortable that you don't want to get out of!!! The restaurant serves mouth watering meals & is reasonably priced. Daniel & all staff are perfect hosts. Jill took care of our...
