Amazing backpackers! The staff, especially Rob, are really friendly and helpful. The hostel is well equipped and the rooms are a good size and are all unsuite. Everyone there is really friendly. The hostel is right in the centre of town, so you are opposite the museum and i-site. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed two nights in a 6 bed dorm with bathroom. The rooms are tiny. There isn't enough room for 6 beds and 6 backpacks it was a very tight squeeze. I suggest they make them 4 bed rooms I would of stayed longer if they were. Ensuite was great to have. Although the light wasn't working in my bathroom...

Staff were outstanding with friendly greetings and a great attitude. The family room was good value for money. Our only issue was the bar located below our bedroom window that meant 'our family' didn't get much sleep on the busy bar nights!

I stayed at ariki for two nights and really enjoyed my time there. The location was absolutely perfect for getting around town without a car because it's right in the city centre. The staff are immediately very friendly and take the time to get to know you and show you around. Genuinely awesome local guys. The facilities are clean, kitchen...

I highly reccomend this place! Amazing customer service! We urgently needed somewhere to stay (2 adults and 6yr old child) at 10pm at night and the amazing guy we spoke with on the phone sorted us a family friendly room with no problems at all! The beds were comfortable, all bedding included. We had our own bathroom - with towels...

Probably one of the quietest hostels I've visited so far (but I have just come from QLD Australia!). The staff were soooooo friendly! Walked in and showed me around, the woman who I met at reception knew exactly what the guys were doing in the room I was staying in which shows she talks to everyone. Instantly made me feel...

The location is absolutely perfect - just up the street from the bus station, right across from the beach, and not that far from shops. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know a bit about each person that came to stay - the guy that checked in after me was welcomed warmly,...

The location was perfect. The staff was very friendly. The community rooms were amazing and full of nice people. It has carpets all over the place so if you go to the bathroom with socks at night you will feel like home. Plus there is a giant blackboard in the hall where you can draw stuff so yeah go there...

First of all, the location is great and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. But the hostel is really dated. The interior is old, bathrooms as well. I wouldn't recommend it. You will meet a lot of nice people though.

So I was informed that late check-ins were possible. I arrived past 1am (as I told them I would) and was supposed to be left a key, however this never happened and I was forced to sleep in my car. This is partially my fault for not confirming about my late arrival a few days prior since I booked over...
