Nice quiet resort in the northern Rotorua district. It is a bit of a hike to central Rotorua (15 min drive) so it is strongly suggested that you have access to a rental car. Units are self contained so ideal to buy groceries and cook meals for a night in. The canals between the villas were a nice touch attracting...

We stayed for 8 nights at the Ramada, Rotorua. I will not comment on the accommodation as that has been fully covered in recent reviews, just mention that we stayed in a Wyndham unit and found the unit and grounds very nice. I agree that the noise from upstairs is noticeable but as there were only the two of us...

Stayed here for 4 days to explore this side of New Zealand. The location is just stunning. Surrounded by a water way and a lake. Nice swimming pool and on site restaurant. Although opening times for the restaurant are limited. We only ate there once but the food was well priced and good. Some people have commented in there reviews...

Great units for families. Good location, a little way out of town, but that's why it appealed to us. Immaculately clean. We had a 2 bedroom unit, bedrooms were upstairs, so those of us who were up earlier or later didn't disturb the others that were sleeping. Lovely staff. Would definitely stay here again.

My family of 4 stayed here for 9 days. It was our home base for visiting the sights around Rotorua. Beautiful country settings. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit along the channel, where the black swans and ducks would swim by. The bedrooms and 1 bathroom were upstairs. Beds are firm and comfy. Well maintained unit all in all....

This was our second visit in 2 years, or 2nd and 3rd to be precise, as we stayed for 2 x 2 days in different 2 bed room apartments, separated by one day away on the very interesting Coromandel Peninsula. Some people might find it a little remote, out of town on the NE corner of Lake Rotorua on Hamurana...

The place is quiet and far from the city centre. Nice place people who plan to relax km and have some quiet time. Not really suitable for family as getting food is very far away and there are no restaurant in the hotel premises. The villa or Lodge is fully equipped with kitchen utensils and there are washer and dryer....

Arrival to the resort showed nicely maintained gardens and surrounds, and service from the staff and housekeeping was exceptional, however the resort was let down by the accommodation - everything is poorly constructed - the floors squeak, both upstairs and down - no-one could move without disturbing others - the walls were thin enough to hear conversations in the unit...

We family ( husband with 2 young boys)recently stayed here for the weekend and had the most amazing time. The resort is about 20 minutes out of Rotorua city and is very relaxing and quiet. We stayed in a very nice apartment, well equiped with a nice view over the canal that leads to the Ohau Channel. It is about 20 minutes drive north from Central Rotorua. In October it was too cold to use the swimming pool but it looked a very nice set-up.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rotorua is truly like no other destination. It's a fascinating mix of culture, adventure and relaxation. Renowned for being a hotbed of thermal activity, Rotorua's hot springs and spas make it the perfect getaway for pampering, stress-release and rejuvenation. At the same time it's also a place where you can truly get the heart pumping. Adrenalin-raising adventures punctuate the Rotorua landscape from thrilling luge rides, white water rafting and even rolling down a hill in a giant translucent ball (zorbing). If all that's not enough for you, then you also have an area rich in Maori history and culture and friendly locals to walk you through it all. Located just 20 minutes outside the city to ensure your getaway is relaxing, WorldMark Resort Rotorua is the perfect base for whatever brings you to this simply wonderful area of New Zealand. With apartments sleeping 4-6 people in 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and lodges (utilising double sofa bed in living room), your stay will feel like your home-away-from-home. Located on the edge of the lake, the resort offers beautiful views right over the Ohau Channel. You can kayak your way back to your room or picnic at the parklands located right within the resort. If fishing is more your thing you'll be in heaven - the area is rich in fisheries and you'll be able to throw in a line from one of the various resort banks. The apartments include all modern conveniences, with the resort also boasting outdoor swimming pool, heated spa, gymnasium and a tennis court. ... more   less
