It was raining quite heavily when we got here. Still we thoroughly enjoyed and spent a good hour and a half here beyond which you start feeling very thirsty & dehydrated. Get your own soap and shampoo for a post pool scrub. Water on tap is available so keep having small sips between. Temperature is quite comfortable ranging between 38-42... More

Fantastic place! We stayed the night in our campervan and had a fantastic experience. For $44 NZD including access to the hot pools it was also a great value. The pools were so relaxing - we actually found it less crowded during the day then at night when all the campers were using the pools. No wifi makes it the... More

What a great campsite !! I found it by chance and oh what a find. Set in a beautiful thermal valley the campsite's swimming pool and numerous hot tubs are feed from a natural hot spring from which water gushes at 98ºc. After a full day of adventures do your laundry whilst relaxing in a hot tub - sheer luxary.

This is a small thermal pool attraction. Good value for money. You are able to hire towels on arrival and secure your belongings in lockers. Very relaxing as we almost had the whole place for ourselves. Includes a nice nature walk to the source. Well worth the 20 minute drive.

About half an hour of windy road out of Rotorua - you will find this treasure. Very few of the thermal pools in town allow kids in all areas - usually they are confined to one pool with the adults left to enjoy the rest. No such restrictions here. The kids are free to enjoy all six thermally heated pools... More

We didn't camp here, but did take the 30odd minute drive out from Rotorua to have a soak in the hotpools. We thought the entry fee was a little steep for what it was, but we certainly had a great time in the end and really appreciated the good service from both the ladies who were on duty the evening... After a long day, this campervan place was great place to stay, because the pools were included in the campervan spot price. We loved them. The temperature in April was not that high, so the HOT pools were great. The temperature in the pools was from 35 to 41 degree. In the Thermal pools areal was an Eco trail, which... More

Good value here. You can pay for a pitch on the campsite and get free usage of the pools. 'Thermal pools' sounds exotic doesn't it? Although it's well built and well attended to (I saw staff dipping thermometers into the water to check temperatures) I'm still not sure if I like sitting in a giant hot bath with a load... More

We really enjoyed camping at this place… It allowed you to experience the hot pools when the public was not around and it was a very peaceful place to sleep. We recommend you call ahead (we spoke to Poppy and she was great... Professional and friendly, while still running a busy establishment) and ask for one of the camping sites... More

If you camp here, you get free use of all the heated pools (except the private ones) at no additional charge even before the facility opens to day trippers. This is a great deal. The camp site facilities are not too big, quiet and well run. Kitchen is available to use and the restaurant/cafe serves good food. The couple next... More

“We camped. It's a very small site, but they're good enough. The unpowered sites are nicely tucked-away in a little grassy alcove. The powered sites are next to the buildings on a gravel surface, so I preferred the privacy and quiet of the grass area.”
