The room was clean, warm. The staff were amazing, they really went out of their way to make sure you enjoyed your stay. I can't think of any negatives, apart from maybe that I couldn't stay for longer. A++ I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

We stayed here in November for 2 nights. The room was very comfortable, clean and convenient. Tristan does great breakfasts for a small extra charge and was always available with great ideas ( and discounts) for all the places to see around Rotorua. It is a few blocks from the very centre of Rotorua, but easily walkable.

What a great Motel. Comfortable, spotless and some of the best hospitality you will find in NZ. The Sport of Kings is handily placed and easy to find, just a level 10-15 minute walk from the center of Rotorua. Hosts Pete and Tristan do a fantastic job with their business and are two of the most genuine motel operators you...

Fantastic friendly service. Very clean and well maintained. Good kitchen and laundry facilities and great spa to enjoy. The 'glow worm' tour was one of the highlights of our whole trip. We are recommending our friends and family stay here when they go to Rotorua!

We stayed here two nights. The motel is a short drive south from downtown Rotorua. A little bit too far to walk so having a car is recommended. The staff was very friendly and even let me wash our clothes for free even those they normally charge a small fee. The room was quiet, with a good kitchen and wifi....

We were very happy with the hotel; location and customer service. The managers / owners were very helpful; telling us about places to visit; helped with finding a babysitter so we could go to White Mountain; breakfast was great - brought it to our room. No more we could have asked for. Best and most comfortable place. Thank you!

We booked the motel after reading reviews on tripadvisor. Convenient location. Love the private spa and hot water. Kids have fun in the spa so do we. The unit is a bit small for family of 4 with constraints when taking out luggages. Breakfast is great and come on time. The hosts are friendly and give us smiles when delivering...

Couple highlights about this hotel. Very very friendly and passionate owners. I went to Rotorua with limited ideas about what I would do. Tristen, one of the hotel owners gave me a dozen of interesting ideas to explore. Agree with a previous review that the hotel has different promotion brochures for spa, for souvenir shopping, just go speak to Tristen...

We stayed for 2 nights in this clean, quiet comfortable motel. Tristen is a great host and was very helpful and good to deal with. Room was comfortable and the kitchen well decked out. It's just off the main road and very quiet. We used the private spa, which was fabulous after a long drive from Wellington. It's a small establishment...

Stayed here for two nights, in a room with its own spa, which was bigger than we'd expected, and very welcome after a long drive. Very friendly and helpful owners, with some great recommendations on places to eat and activities to consider. Nice small motel, just off the main strip, which made it feel a bit more relaxed. No complaints...
