We arrived late in the evening and were very tired. As soon as we walked in the lobby, we knew we had made a great choice. Tristan and Pete were very warm and welcoming. Tristan went way out of her way calling restaurants to find one that would still be open. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the spa...

The rooms are very spacious and well equipped, with a very decent spa bath in each one. The owner is extremely helpful, and friendly. The only down sides are that the car parking is cramped, so if you have a very large vehicle it may prove tricky. Also, the hotel is not central. The town centre is about a 20...

We stayed a couple of doors down at relatives from the King of Sports . We were cheeky and used the hotel as a pick up spot for a tour bus. The manager / owner Peter came out. Instead of a telling off we got a very warm welcome. We were Informed of fantastic places to see and things to...

We arrived in the middle of a mild family crisis and the support and service from the staff at Sport of Kings went above and beyond all expectations. Kids and adults loved the pool and spa. Great place to stay.

I cannot say enough nice things about this place and the people who run it. From the second you arrive you feel you're taken care of and you know they're there if you have questions, want to have a little chat or need tips of what to see and where to go. They make calls to the attractions if you...

We were so pleased with this hotel and the owners! They really took the time to tell us about the sights and "secret" places to visit. We visited them all and it really made our trip! The rooms were excellent! The pool and jacuzzis were a dream. This hotel is very eco friendly and they truly care about their guests....

We stayed at the Sport of Kings Motel for three nights in August, 2015 while visiting New Zealand for a wedding. We arrived in Rotorua late, and when we got to the motel we realised we'd made a mistake and didn't have a room booked until the following day. It our fault, but the owners organised another room at the...
