We had a lovely stay here in April. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent as was the view of the lake. Rooms were top rate and we really enjoyed our time here. It was a little to far from the town centre so had to drive a lot and i feel it was a little over priced.

The location is absolutely stunning. The view from our lakeside room was breathtaking. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible during our 2 night stay(remnants of Cyclone Debbie) but we still enjoyed the garden and lake walk when the rain took a break. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The decor is modern and chic...

We stayed at many lovely hotels previously on our travels and also on our recent trip to New Zealand. Black Swan stood out amongst them not only due to the excellent accommodations with personal touches but also due to the excellent customer service, notable by manager Nicola. No task was too small for her to arrange and she ensured that...

What a beautiful boutique hotel and location. The new owners have done an amazing job with this place. The views are spectacular. Make sure you ask cornbread and go down to the dock and feed the black swans. The rooms are Art Deco. Malakai and Andrew were wonderful and helpful. The food for dinner and breakfast were very good.

We only stayed for a couple of nights and spent a great time visiting the sites nearby . We enjoyed breakfast and evening meal here. I found the heated towel rail really useful. They may have had new staff as one was less helpful than all the others ( we had been used to smaller hotels who are able to...

First class service. Beautiful setting with pool and jacuzzi and amazing gardens. On lake front. Breakfast was delicious. Nicola was a lovely helpful manageress. Would love to return someday. A very special boutique hotel. Only criticism is that although the bedroom was beautiful it could have done with being larger

Great stay in lakefront room. Room was spacious and bathroom very nice with good amenities. Breakfast is part of the stay and well worth getting up for... Had dinner at hotel one night and it was good, not outstanding but solid. Enjoyed drinks on veranda each evening and sitting in garden taking in the view. Be sure to taste the...

We arrived for our one night stay on Thursday 16 February in torrential rain to be met at our car by hostess Nikola with umbrellas. This service continued with assistance with luggage, a tour of the premises, and as this trip was to celebrate my wife's birthday, a upgrade to lakeside room 5. Superbly furnished with complimentary cake and mini-bar,...

This is a lovely boutique hotel overlooking Lake Rotarua. The rooms are charming, and well furnished. Interestingly the mini bar has complimentary snacks and non alcoholic drinks, nice touch. Breakfast is an event not to be missed. Each meal is prepared individually, no buffet, and you are encouraged to try everything on the menu. Service is excellent, under the keen...

We really enjoyed our stay in 2 lake front rooms. We were lucky with the weather and also that the place wasn't as busy as it could be (noting I think only 9 rooms) so it felt at times we had the place to ourselves - which was great and materially added to the experience for all. The breakfast was...
