Rooms good but showing their 15 odd year vintage - silly things like a room safe too small to fit any laptop in, but really the hotel was fine, the beds to die for and the access to the wonderful gym over the road (with the best view in the world) was worth it. F and B offering sterile and...

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry about the safe not fitting your laptop, they were purchased to fit the standard size, however standard doesn't seem to mean much today and the sizes vary considerably. We are happy to store any valuables that can't fit into the in room safe in the Hotels main safe, so please ask reception and they...

Great location and one of the best views in Napier. We stayed at level 5. Wake up and open the curtains to a view to die for. Top notch service, very clean, friendly and very helpful staff. Definitely recommended.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Right on heart of Napier's Art Deco district. Rooms faced ocean and were well appointed. On the main street however not much noise as pretty tame area. Nice breakfast provided with our stay. Reasonable choice of restaurants close by. Parking a little limited. Rooms can get quite toasty thru midday on sunny days.

Thank you for your feedback, the rooms have been toasty as we have had 35 degree weather, fortunately the full block out curtains and in room air-conditioner keep things cool. warm regards Kerryann

Nice clean hotel , nice rooms all looking towards the ocean although the view is restricted by the buildings on the beach side of Marine parade , rooms had all the normal facilities , irons fridge etc . The main corridors on all floors runs at the back of the rooms and is a bit narrow when pulling 2 cases...

Stayed for one night whilst exploring Napier and had a room on the sixth (top) floor. Hotel is in a great position on the sea front with views of the sea and sunrise. There is some work on the esplanade opposite replacing paving slabs but this did not trouble us. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Room is well equipped. Staff...

Our room, on the second floor, looked straight out onto the street, so one had to lower the blind for privacy. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible, with a gale blowing and rain. We were only staying one night, so it was OK, but I would have preferred to be in the town itself, which has some lovely Art Deco buildings....

I would guess that in days gone by this hotel was the place to be. The sea view was all but obliterated by construction work opposite. The windows in the room fitted badly and let smoke and noise in from guests on the outside terrace not to mention traffic noise. The beds were very soft and bouncy which led to...

On a positive note, thank you for acknowledging the shower pressure. With regards the bed we have Scenic Hotel group signature bedding which is a key point of difference with our company. I am sorry that you were disturbed by people smoking outside. The Hotel is a non smoking property so I must assume that the guests were smoking outside...

Napier is well-known for its Art Deco architecture and we stopped here overnight to admire it and explore the town. COming from the North you enter the town past the airport and past the container port, not the prettiest, but once into "old" Napier, rebuilt after an earthquake and fire in 1931, the setting is great, with lovely gardens, fountains...
