I recently stayed at this hostel and it was an OK experience. In common with other reviews, this was not the best hostel, nor the worst. Criterion is located in the city centre within 5 minutes walk of the beach and 10 minutes to the Intercity bus stop.

It's a nice and comfy hostel, not far away from my Intercity bus stop. FD staff was very friendly and helpful. My single room was very spacious and quiet. I had a such good rest in the hostel. I will definitely come back again.

This hostel is perfectly located, right in the centre of Napier. They guy working on the reception is nice and friendly. WiFi is provided, as is a breakfast of toast and cereals. It’s a great place to stay for a night or two. I would highly recommend it.
