John and Maggie Hanlon do all they can to make their guests feel at home, from allowing us to use the fridge for our blue ice to watching one of our DVDs on their telly. Beautiful gardens, lovely rooms, gorgeous bath, and attentiveness from our hosts made this a most enjoyable weekend. John and Maggie are both happy to share...

Hi Queenmarti. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. A lot of travellers use this medium to express their experience and for this we thank you. Yes, Margaret and I try hard to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed, hence the Home away from Home logo... yes it is an old saying, but has lots of depth...

We had the pleasure of staying with John and Maggie on the 16th / 17th December. They made us feel so at home, and felt that we had known they for ages. There knowledge of the area is excellent, and we went on the Napier Tour with John exploring the area, plus 2 wineyards and 2 breweries for my husband,...

This was by far the nicest of the places that we stayed at during our week on the North Island of New Zealand. Margaret and John were splendid hosts and made us feel very much at home. We even had access to the fridge in their kitchen to store our bottle of wine and tonic water (for GTs). Their knowledge...

Thank you Davidin Toronto for your nice comments. As you mention, one room has the bathroom, the other the en-suite so everyone has a private bathroom. There is much to see and do here in Napier and we love to help our guests get the very most from their Napier stay. Glad to hear you enjoyed your experience.

Was lovely to arrive late afternoon to a warm welcome from Maggie and John. The accommodation is of a high standard and has a beautiful bathroom to complement this. The grounds are manicured and present a lovely setting. Just a short stroll to the Taradale shopping precinct. Great nights sleep as situated in a very quite grove. Breakfast was a...

Stayed one night, fantastic, very quiet & clean, modern decor. Recommend the Queen room with the ensuite. Would also suit a family as there is an adjacent room with single beds. Maggie & John were very friendly and helpful and supplied a full & really tasty continental breakfast. When our friend turned up, he was invited in for a coffee...

John and Margaret are wonderful hosts. Stayed two nights in their lovely house and they made us feel really at home.
