Nicely renovated apartment with huge shower and good facilities. Our host, Keri, was very pleasant and the accommodation offered everything we needed including good wifi. The bed was large and comfy and there was a tv in both the lounge and bedroom. While there are no specific guest laundry facilities, we were able to use the hotel's washing machine and...

Lovely modern decor. Quiet location opposite the beach and easy access to the boardwalk. Close to swimming and surfing beach. Pleasant river walk nearby also. Friendly owners/management. 15-20 min walk into mainly shopping area, a few eating places within 10 min walk but better restaurants best to take car for evening meals.

Nice accommodation with well equipped kitchen and a nice patio area outside where we had our evening meal. It is about 15 mins walk into town but it is very pleasant on the boardwalk. Unfortunately whilst we were there it was Waitangi Day and most of the eating places were closed but we did find a very nice restaurant down...

The town is busy , everywhere is full but these kind people let us use one of their own bedrooms, spotless, all excellent. The management also advised about eating out. Can't say that we were impressed with Gisbourne

The well-equipped motel room kitchen, and substantial patio table and chairs made for a lovely patio dinner. "A bit of cricket" on the big screen TV was intended to be just that a bit but after getting comfortable on the long, soft, leather couch it was the 11th inning before we managed to get ourselves to bed. All good.

This was the nicest Motel we stayed in on North Island. The room was large and light with a separate lounge area and opened on to a garden with a table and a passion fruit plant which was dropping its fruit for our benefit. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful - clearly a family run place. It was spotlessly...

We arrived after doing a tour of the East Cape, dusty and tired but needing to do some laundry and find somewhere to eat. The owners dealt with both with alacrity resulting in clean clothes and, in Peppers Cafe, an excellent meal. This motel is a classic of customer care.

We rented a 1-bed garden apartment for 5 nights. It was very well appointed and.comfortable. Nice private outdoor area, a shame the weather was too damp most of the time to make full use of it. Easy access to beach across the road. Owners very friendly and helpful. Maori inspired decoration a nice addition.

Clean and tidy with cotton sheets, continental breakfast great, hosts friendly and helpful. Few minutes walk to beach and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Enjoyed the New Zealand themed decor
