Great location for the beach with a lovely walk on the boardwalk into town, about 15 mins. Helpful and friendly owners. Spacious rooms, well cleaned, very well presented towels and beds, well stocked with kit. Nice bay window and plenty of opening windows in the heat. Parking directly outside door with covered area outside front door, but no seat. Bathroom...

We booked the Beachcomber only a week ahead for a great rate. Booked 2 rooms for 4 people. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Beds are a bit dated and so is the bedding. Love the location right across the street from the beach. Reception team is lovely.

We were in NZ for 3 weeks, and this was the hotel we had the most worry about being good, but it turned out to be great! The room was spacious, clean, and bright, and we had a fully equipped kitchenette, which we utilized to actually cook some food instead of going out to eat. Also, just one street from...

We couldn't believe how quiet this motel was! We didn't wake up until 8 am most days and we were still surrounded by silence - so unusual in a motel. The atmosphere is true beach holiday with the beautiful Waikanae Beach just across a quiet road and grassy reserve. The unit was comfortable and service efficient and friendly, while still...

Wow. I was driving across the country to get to the Motel and called to say I would be later than expected. The hosts offered to go into town and buy me a roast meal to leave in my fridge that I could just heat up whenever I arrived. They also left a glass of juice in the fridge. That...

Book in late, yet still a warm welcome and shown to the last room available. A good room on the top floor with a view of the beach from the balcony. Room was compact, but very clean and comfortable. Fully recommend this motel for a comfortable, enjoyable stay

Lovely friendly, helpful hosts, with an excellent attitude to their guests. Spacious rooms with a very comfortable king-size bed and a great shower. Just across the road from a walk-way to a safe swimming and surfing beach.
