Worst camp site in NZ so far. Highly overpriced. Tiny camp spots. Ugly compartments. The only nice thing is the view of the bay. The camping ground will prevail however, because there are rarely any alternatives around. We had free campsites that were better than this.

Recently stayed at this camp site for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised of it's relaxed atmosphere and lack of children. (Without sounding too much like an old man yelling: "Get off my lawn!") Unlike other Top 10 sites we stayed, this one doesn't have as many facilities for children, so it seems to be less popular with families. It's...

Waikanae is one of NZs best holiday parks. Most we have been to are clean, tidy and well run. Waikanae is a step better with playground, beach and tennis court right there. The real icing on the cake is it is only walking distance from the main centre of the city. We will stay longer next time. Nice sociable campers...

Unfortunately we were only there for one night. It is right by a gorgeous beach & has all the facilities you could wish for. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit which was clean tidy & comfortable. Plenty on the grounds to keep the 4yr old entertained. There is a cafe takeaway about 5 minutes away with plenty of choice...

Good accommodation for my family of 6. Nice and roomy bach with clean room and aircondition is a bonus. No range hood though. We've got full of smoke after cooking meal... our eyes were so sore. But still good place to be.

We stayed for two nights in a 2brm Self Contained Unit. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would go back. The camp site is well laid out and very well maintained. Checkin was quick and hassle free. There is a small shop at reception which was useful for our ice cream craving! The unit itself was perfect for us and...

This holiday park is right by the beach which is fantastic. The best thing for us here was the location. There is a boardwalk along the beach in both directions for a walk, a diary and fish and chip shop across the road (shuts at 7pm), you can walk to town, supermarkets, the cidery and the brewery! The park has...

Nice older well maintained caravan park with lots of camping and caravans spaces next to the beach. Cabins and motels are clean and functional. Showers/toilets blocks are clean. The kitchen is well appointed with communal freezer and chiller (refrigerator) available. This is a logging town be aware of logging trucks on the road, they are big and the roads are...

Travelling around the east coast, we reached Gizzy, planning to stay 2 Nights. Our membership of Top 10 Parks gave us a good price for a self-contained Cabin. The bathroom was very user-friendly, and the kitchen facilities were fine for our needs. One slight drawback - wall mounted tv facing a window meant viewing was difficult; not a major problem!...
