Staff were great, super friendly, helpful, and were able to provide ideas of things to do in Auckland. Unfortunately that is where the positives stop. The rooms were crowded, small and the storage for gear was sub-par. Bathrooms were moderately clean, but considering the size of the hostel looking for anything above average is asking a lot. Kitchen was super...

Seriously Nomads? Seriously? All over OZ/NZ Nomads is a familiar brand of pretty good hostels. But this? I served in the military, and some of my barracks had better facilities in them. The place is ridiculously rundown, peeling carpets filled with ancient stains, wierd smells everywhere, showers that makes you think about staying dirty and one elevator for a 7-floors...

Suffered in this hostel. It was hot and there was no air, they make you pay for wifi or go next door where the wifi isn't that great either. The room was dirty and just tiny. Hated being inside couldn't stay there for one second. The location is great but it's not worth it.

I only stayed here as due to a public holiday all other budget options were fully booked. Very disappointed! Overpriced sweat box, no windows or ac, disgusting graffiti written on the beams of a random bed which was placed above mine, loud trashy music blasting out along the corridors until late (not what you need after a 30hr journey). On...

Clean comfortable rooms and beds, staff at reception can be rude and unhelpful. Kitchen is too small for the size of the property and the oven hobs are slow. Not much fridge space or storage at all. Okay for one night, not long term. Wifi is free at travel shop but charged everywhere else in the hostel. Just of queenstreet...

Dirty, noisy until super late, only the most basic of amenities available. I was ok staying here for one night but definitely would not stay long term. No free WiFi inside, go down to street level to pick up free WiFi from nearby.

room not serviced at about 2100 WHEN WE FINALLY CHECKED-IN. Once you paid your money, no refund would be given. We paid for a twin room with no windows but there was no air conditioning unit and the dilapidated TV did not work. It was hell to live in that room for a night. Electronic keys failed on more than...

Great location, friendly staff, essential though to confirm your reservation with front desk team. Myles Fortnam at the front desk saved the day when the online booking confirmed on my machine turned out not to have made it to the hostel due to internal Nomads group communication failure. Ensure you have booked a room with a window in the NZ...
