Rooms were comfortable enough, beds are creaky but there's nothing new there... The showers were actually pretty nice, although on one occasion the floor had been flooded to the entire room. The real let down for me with this Nomads is the kitchen, facilities were a disgrace, so much so I could not bare to cook food. Barely a functional...

you save a couple bucks if you book it through hostelworld instead of actually walking up to the front desk in person. What you would expect form a room full of travelers. didn't smell the best, you only have access to free wifi until 7 pm, in a separate building.

Construction poorly on the internal walls, walls crumbled to dust and they are in fact a health and safety hazard should there be earthquakes in the region, which elevates it to hazardous considering the earthquake history of New Zealand. Potential for growth if the interior walls were constructed in line with the concrete walls of the foundations. Staff are top...

Had a double room with Ensuite. The room was basic (as described) but was in a very poor condition. The ensuite and shower was mouldy, rotting and lacking in every way. Warning signs advised against using aerosol deodorant in case you set off smoke detectors - which would then prompt a $1500 fine. Ridiculous. Location was good however.

Staffs are nice. They gave me support when I needed help. But the environment is not quite good and the price was expensive. The location is ideal where it has a short distance to Shuttle Bus stop and Britomart station. No free wifi in the dorm. So-called free wifi is a business-used wifi from the shop near hostel.

Pros: They do understand that backpackers' mentality, but it caters more to the party-going type. Every day there's activity, whether naughty bingo with free hot dog or hostel night with free pizza and stuffs. Love that when you arrive you get a welcome pack. Cons: It's a busy place. Party-going crowds are similarly disorganized with rooms generally in messy condition....

The Auckland Nomad is okay for a short stay. The carpets were a bit smelly and the rooms a bit noisy due to the noise from the outside and also each time the door was closed. Other than that fine! great view from the top and nice kitchen.

Stayed here for four nights. Kitchen is small for the size of hostel, but the problem is that most of the stoves are not working or not working well. Bathrooms on every floor which is very good. Rooms are not spacious, but big enough to fit luggage in - big lockers !! Staff was friendly and helpful and the location...

A friend and I stayed one night and I would not recommend it Nomad's hostel. Although the location is ideal, short walk to the Britomart Transport Centre and all shops but there is no wifi, we found the staff unfriendly and the room for 12 people had one small window and was very noisy from the street outside.
