A warm reception after an horrendous experience at Auckland Airport where it took 3 hours from plane to exit all queuing. Spotlessly clean room that was spacious and exceptionally well equipped. A very high quality bed ensured a great nights sleep with negligible road noise despite being near a major road. The bathroom had good quality fittings and amenities. The kitchen area had a well stocked wine fridge and normal fridge with dishwasher and all necessities. Breakfasts were excellent and the young staff were efficient, smiling and worked hard to please everyone. The restaurant was closed but bar snacks were reasonable and very good quality with again great hardworking staff. With the awful floods that hit Auckland the staff, especially duty managers and concierge, were utterly flexible in helping out guests cope with flight changes and cancellations. It is a tribute to all staff that they maintained such high standards and positivity under enormous pressures. In a very good location with good transport links this is a perfect boutique city hotel in Auckland and would unhesitatingly recommend it.

This is our third stay here and there is not a lot I can say other than if you are looking for quality accommodation in the CBD in Auckland with great staff then look no further . Everyone you encounter here is lovely. The beds are super comfortable and rooms extremely clean . There is close by public parking or you can have valet parking at a small charge. We ate in the restaurant for the first time this trip and the dinner was delicious. At the price you pay it will be hard to find better in this area .

I had a wonderful stay at this Auckland hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The auto check-in process was seamless and easy, making my arrival smooth and stress-free. The staff were incredibly courteous and welcoming, ensuring that I felt at home right away.
The rooms were spotless, with a clean and fresh feel, which is always a top priority for me. The corridors and lobby were equally well-maintained, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere. There’s a real sense of coziness throughout the hotel, creating a warm and inviting environment that made my stay truly enjoyable.
The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern convenience and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s evident that attention to detail is a priority here, from the cleanliness to the thoughtful touches in the rooms. The central location made it easy to explore Auckland, and I appreciated the peaceful atmosphere inside.
Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would absolutely stay again. This hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Auckland, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

We stayed here for 1 night after getting off a cruise. The hotel is nice - rooms are exceptionally large and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. We only had 1 breakfast there which was excellent. Friends who stayed there for several days before we arrived said the dinner service was also quite good We arrived early in the day and were pleased to be given a room right away. But that meant we were given a room with a "wet room" style shower/toilet suitable for handicap access. We were not overly fond of that style of bath. Besides making the bathroom floor wet and slippery when you used the shower, there was very little space in the bathroom to set toiletries. There is another very unfortunately issue that the city is doing street work that essentially blocks the street off to all but bus traffic. Not only can't taxi's get in to drop you off at the entrance, you have to walk past the hotel entrance to the other corner of the block to get into the building. We had a lot of luggage so this made it challenging and go backward to get into the hotel. A guest with special needs would have a really hard time until the work and traffic pattern go back to normal sometime in the next couple of months. This is not the hotel's fault but potential guests should be aware and check before arrival about access to the entrance. I would also note that the hotel is located in the edge of a university. There are lots of little bars and coffee shops geared to the student population but if you want to eat a nicer meal you will have to travel elsewhere. Had we stayed more than one night this would have been more problematic.

Dear travelinggal1951, Thank you for your review and feedback. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with, given the frustration of the councils road works in the city - this should only last another 2 weeks. We are glad the team could look after you with an early check-in and that you enjoyed your dining experience in our Trocadero Restaurant & Bar. Kind Regards, Stacey

I have stayed here twice on a business trip past couple of months and I was very happy on both occasions. I would gladly pay to stay here on a private holiday. The staff were delightful, room and bathroom were clean and modern, whilst tastefully cozy rather than clinical. I personally found the bed and pillows to be extremely comfy with just enough plush, and I had no trouble falling asleep, which is not always easy for me. Added bonuses were full length mirror, plenty of power outlets in convenient locations, temperature control in room, heated towel rack, and most importantly there was a good supply of teabags replenished daily. WIFI was reliable. Central location, onsite only has valet parking at a daily rate, so I opted for Uber on my subsequent trip. Onsite restaurant/bar opens early for breakfast, though closed at 9pm. I had room service once which arrived hot, timely, and carefully transported. Menu had sufficient options, tasted ok. I’ll stay here again next time.

Easily the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect! Great attention to detail and guest satisfaction. The staff were exemplary, stylish luxurious spotlessly clean accommodation, no noise disturbance of any kind including no road noise from Queens Street even on a weekend! The double glazing was incredible. Lighting was 5 star. The comfort of the bed was sheer heaven. King Suite was a stylish and comfortable home from home. New furniture, drapes & decor throughout. Nespresso machine. Two large TV’s with Sky etc. Luxury bathroom. Restaurant breakfast was unmissable, perfectly cooked omelettes. Location to CBD is awesome with great view of Sky City Tower. Easy walk to harbour. I simply wouldn’t ever stay anywhere else. Special thanks to Duty Manager Raj who is the perfect host.

Majority of staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is well located, about a 20 minute walk from the harbour. Our room was nice and spacious. For a 4 star hotel, we were surprised that there were no porters to help take our heavy bags upstairs. After 27 hours of flying, the last thing we wanted, was to lug our cases to our rooms. Our room (202), fronted the side street and the major issue for us, was at 5.30am on Saturday, the dust cart arrives to take the empty bottles away. Needless to say, it was extremely loud and not welcome at such an early hour. Having collected the glass. They then started to crush, what we can only assume was plastic waste. This whole deafening experience went on for a good 20 minutes. Our friends in room 201 had a similar issue, but with a large extractor fan outside their room. With this they had a dreadful nights sleep. We did mention both issues to the front desk, but they seemed totally disinterested and just responded with the basic “sorry about that” I would consider staying again, but

Dear G339VWnickb, Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback from your recent stay with us, it will be addressed with the team regarding the lack of assistance with your bags on arrival. Our central city location is a great starting point to explore Auckland from being so close to the waterfront and other city attractions. We apologise that you were woken by rubbish the trucks from the street, our double glazed windows generally do a great job at keeping the majority of the city noise out. We look forward to welcoming you back to Airedale on your next visit to Auckland. Kind Regards, Stacey

We had chosen this hotel for our first 5 days in New Zealand. The size of the room was perfect - except the wardrobe. The bed was very comfortable and the whole room was very clean. Unfortunately there were a few things we didn't like at all
We had a late check in (midnight). Since there was not much toilet paper left, I wanted housekeeping to bring new toilet paper. The receptionost mentioned that at this time housekeeping is closed and they couldn't give us any more toilet paper….. The staff - whether at reception or in the restaurant - seemed as if they hadn't been doing their job for long. They were friendly but unfortunately no help with our questions
Parking is a disaster. Valid parking at some days no Option for us cause they do not work 24/7. so if you need your car early in the Morning or want to Park late in the evening you need to Google by yourself.
We have never slept in a hotel where the neighborhood noise was so loud - unimaginable loud. Our view was directly onto Queen Street and they party there until 3pm at night. Even during the week. The construction work started at 6am. So no real rest at night.

Dear microcheese, Thank you for your review, we are so pleased to hear your enjoyed your refurbished and clean room. Our great central city location does come with inner city noise, although our fantastic double glazed windows do keep most of the noise out. We are pleased to be able to offer a valet parking service for our guests between the hours of 6.30am - 11pm as inner city parking can be tricky sometimes. Once again, Thank you for your feedback which we can discuss with our newer team members to assist in ongoing training. Kind Regards, Stacey

Well situated with good sized rooms and extra facilities such as microwave. Reception staff helpful. Breakfast has good range on menu. Parking available across road at public car park. Drive there yourself rather than use their valet service as they charge extra for this and use the same car park. You can drop your bags at hotel before parking as space outside hotel to pull in.

My son (5mo) and I had a lovely stay the room was brilliant and I would stay again. Concierge, Front of House, and restaurant staff (including breakfast chefs) are impeccable.
Waiter Gavin from the restaurant and the lovely young Indian woman on Front of House (I did not get her name) were so accommodating and the latter was both personable and conscious of our safety when we had early morning excursions.
The room facilities and furnishings were sleek yet comfortable, portacot made available for my child was made as impeccably as the bed for me. Bathroom lighting great for a good selfie/make up/shaving session, amenities were also provided and smelled divine.
Have stayed at 5 star hotels and this would be on par apart from the mini fridge which I could not get to cool down (stayed at 22C and 11C respectively). Location handy to public transport and local tourist attractions such as Aotea Square, Sky Tower and IMAX. No view from my level/window but enough natural light in room during day. Quiet evenings even on nights that are notoriously noisy (student club nights).
Would stay again.
