Location is central with shopping, restaurants and public transport at the doorstep.
Rooms are large with all the required facilities in the family suite however, the cleaning of the room only seems to be done after a 'few' days. Our stay was for 10days and the room was only cleaned twice. The staff seemed to indicate there might be additional charges for a more regular cleaning. There was some reluctance to provide the free wifi details but was given eventually.
Parking is in the Raine Square mall opposite the hotel and costs $25-30 per day which is fine but there are no dedicated drop off bays for luggage. There are a couple of 5min drop off bays at the front which were unavailable during 8am to 4pm (not sure if this is an on-going issue or only happened during our stay).
Overall 7/10.

Dear GoharMaqbool, Thank you for your feedback. I am glad to know that you found the location of the hotel suitable for your needs and found the rooms to be comfortable. The frequency of cleaning of the rooms depends on the type of booking made. I am also very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you due to the unavailability of the loading bay outside the hotel. Thank you once again for your feedback and we hope to see you again on your next stay with us. Kind regards Amay Acharya

We stay at The Mantra on Murray whenever we visit Perth. Staff are really helpful and pleasant and the hotel is always clean. The Studio apartment has everything we need for our stay (crockery, cutlery, pans, washing up liquid, sponge and drying towel). Tea/coffee/milk container is re-filled whenever required. Everything we need in the city is right on the doorstep... underground station, supermarket, bars and eateries and a variety of shops to suit all budgets are only 2 minutes walk away.

The only positive is that it is centrally located.

We had a king room, it was spacious and I know its just a bed for the night but the carpet was dirty and stained, it had not been fitted correctly and big gaps at the skirting/base boards with dirt/dust/hair collecting there. You could actually see the concrete underneath and the whole surface area uneven...like the floor had not been leveled. The beige curtains were stained, marks on the walls, bathrooms tired and dated (shower over the bath combo), dirty tiles/grout, just really shabby.

Could never get through to reception on the phone, the housekeeping crew made the beds, took the used towels and forgot to replace them and the foot towel, face cloths etc (even though we had put them on the hooks to re-use).

The soundproofing is not the best, ok if you are out partying til after midnight comeback and fall straight asleep. The Aviary ( down the street) is pumping out loud music and you can hear it, had the air con on but even that didn't drown out the sound... which is ok if you are at the Aviary lol

We can check this place off our list now, wouldn't go back, just comes down to what type of accommodation/ price bracket you are looking at for your particular stay. We thought we'd give it a go.

The Melbourne, Pan Pacific, Westin, Doubletree EQ etc would be better options

Let’s start with the positives, the hotel is centrally located, close to public transport hubs, shops and numerous bars and restaurants within walking distance. The staff are friendly upon check in and efficient on check out. The rooms are also decent in size but that’s about it.

The rooms suffer from a major design flaw where there is no aircon or fan in the bedroom. A wall divides the living room and bedroom and the air con unit is in the living room this makes for a very hot and stuffy nights sleep on a summers night in Perth. The air con was on high all night, which sounded like a jet engine and provided little cooling relief for sleeping.

Seems like air con is an issue through the building as the common areas on the floor were also not cooled.

The bed itself was 2 beds zipped together in the middle. Comfortable but not ideal and the bed linen had seen better days.

The bathroom had visible signs of rust and wear and tear showing. All up the rooms need an overhaul and refresh.

The experience just with one night was enough for me. Unfortunately i can’t recommend this hotel to fellow travellers, there are plenty more option in Perth to chose from.

This hotel offers accommadation in the city centre where shops, eateries, places of interest, etc are just around the corner.

I stayed in the Junior Suite room. It is of good size for 2. The kitchenette was essential. We use the microwave a lot. The seating area was good space to watch tv whislt eating.

There are free shuttles to places of interest and they are all from walking distance bus-stops.

The front desk staffs are very friendly.

All in all, I will definitely stay here whenever I visit Perth...that is a promise!

Our first thought when we arrived was how nice. But as we stayed longer we realised 3 things.
1.the room is cleaned only once in a 1 week stay, and tea, coffee, milk and sugar are not replenished. Luckily we had our own.
2. The food is ordinary, there is not much of a variety in menu. The service in the restaurant very slow, we waited up to 1 hour for our meal to be delivered to our room and that was after waiting to be served in the restaurant, and having to find a waiter to let them know we were ready to order.
3. Perth is a fabulous place f or a holiday

Was awful stay noisy aircon which didn’t throw out much anyway, two beds pushed together was uncomfortable even had ripped doona sheet on it. Room was dirty considering extra covid measures are in bedside table has sticky patch on bedside table on entering room, fluff and hair everywhere stained ripped carpet. Skirting board coming off the wall list goes on and on the rooms are very tired looking and need refurbing. Used to stay here years ago and was a nice hotel. Breakfast was undercooked poached eggs so didn’t use again. Only two good things I can say is location is fab and guy serving breakfast was amazing he was rushed off his feet as only one serving and was so polite and professional. I did complain but got standard automated reply back

Centrally located across the road from Perth Underground and half a block to David Jones and Myers. Great location in the middle of Perth CBD shopping precinct.

Fabulously comfortable beds and spacious, well decorated rooms.

The only downside is access. If you can’t climb stairs the small disabled lift is to the right of the stairs. If someone leaves the lift gate open at either ground or lobby level you need to get someone to close it or ring reception as it’s rendered inoperable. They really need to upgrade to a proper lift.

The Hotel is very centrally positioned within1 Minutes walk to the Perth Underground Station. Other Public Transport Services are everywhere. The :Red Cat" Bus Service has a stop directly opposite the hotel. Our room has very spacious and clean. amenities were good and all the Staff were very friendly and helpful. In particular 1 person by the name of Maria (a lovely young Columbian lady) was extremely helpful, especially when it can to going the extra mile to research and locate a Car rental company that was able to provide us with a vehicle for 6 when there was nothing else available in about 7 different places that we tried. Her tenacity to achieve this was 2nd to none. I can definitely say that if it wasn't for Maria our trip would've been much less enjoyable. Well done Maria and thanks for going the extra Mile for us. You really saved our trip.
Conveniently near a Coles and food court across the road and the Royal Hotel with great food and drinks nearby. Check out the specials (each night they're different) however, very generous and tasty.
Also conveniently located near other eateries away from the mall and in a lane where there are about 5-10 other eateries to enjoy, and most at very reasonable prices.

Which type of room is equipped with washing machine?
Answer from Lester J
Dear Guest, Greetings from Mantra on Murray. Our rooms are not equipped with a washing machine. However, we do have options for laundry: 1. Self-Serve Laundry - on 2nd and 5th level of the hotel, common area 2. External Laundry service - our preferred laundry service provider picks-up your laundry early in the morning and returns it late afternoon. I hope this helps with your query. Sincerely,
