Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

By booking without the free cancellation or housekeeping, it was $90aud per night for a 7 night stay.
Fresh towels and rubbish pick up were offered every second day.

The location is a short easy walk into the CBD (<10 minutes).
The building is quite old, but it is in a quiet location, and has been well refurbished.
The front desk is manned from 7.00am to 7.00pm. After hours check in was no problem and well handled. Staff were friendly.
The in house cafe is open until 1.00pm.

Room 314 was looking onto other buildings, so it wasn't a great view, but it had a large sunny balcony area (about 5m x 2.5m). And while the room was no smoking, the balcony is approved for smoking (for those that smoke).
The split air con did a good job.
The flat screen TV was about 96cm with plenty of channels, and there is a usb port on the back that will charge your phone (only charges when the TV is on, and make sure the TV is on first, before plugging in the charger cable).
The shower (no bath) was well sized, and the hot and cold water was plentiful.
The queensize bed was comfortable. There is an extra blanket in the top of the wardrobe if you want it.
The blackout curtains work very well.

The kitchen area had a 2 seat table, a 120L fridge, a 4 burner cooktop, a microwave, kettle and toaster. There was a selection of utensils and crockery.
I found everything I needed to cook light meals.

This was a really good value stay for me,and I would be very happy to stay in room 314 again.

Loved our time here, the central location made it so easy to see all Perth has to offer holidaymakers. We used the free bus lines and inexpensive public transport. The kitchen facility in our room was very handy and had everything we needed to cook an evening meal. Room was very clean and quiet and the staff were friendly. Only 4 minute walk to bus stop, we caught the 380 bus from the airport and changed to the 935 bus all up $2.10 for seniors, to the hotel, the stop for the hotel is Malcolm and Harvest Terrace. Be sure to catch the train to Fremantle and ferry to Rottnest Is, a great day out. The visitor centre has really good free walking tours. The overpass up to St George Terrace is a quick walk to the CBD and Woolworths. The free blue CAT bus to Kings Park saves a steep climb, the views are beautiful. The red CAT bus goes to the Perth Station and fares are capped at $4.90, can catch it up Milligan and Hay St, the WA Art Gallery is near the rear of the station.

Stay here when I can as really like how central it is. Has parking on site & reception are extremely friendly & helpful. Rooms are good size with own kitchen. Nice & clean & very comfy bed. You can get a really great brekky in the restaurant that is not outrageously expensive with good choices available. Plenty of good walking right from out front.

What a joy to find this delightful spot. Tucked in about 100m below Kings Park, overpass into the City about 100m, you won't find a more comfortable, cosy and homely place. The cafe is an enticing snd offers modern and exciting options. Due to the coronavirus, the restaurant and bar were not open at night but from a mouthwatering breakfast to an afternoon tea, you will be satisfied.
Would stay again in a heartbeat.

If you want easy access, the ability to walk to Kings Park and downtown Perth, and yet be a little away from the hustle, this could be your place. Comfortable rooms, great coffee and light meals - an opinion obviously shared by many local residents, both walking and cycling to get here.
The prices are good, the location is good.
we would be happy to stay again.

This hotel was chosen because it is close to government departments. It is also close to the freeway but that was not a problem. The real problem is trying to walk up the incredibly steep hill to reach the government departments and related businesses. The "ace in the hole" is the associated Mount Street Breakfast Bar, which is a must!

Great hotel and location. But they will not let us change our dates due to a NSW COVID19 lockdown. We do not wnat a refund. We just wanted to change dates. But now they will not allow any changes or any refunds. It is not worth the stress. All the other hotels on our tour have allowed us to change dates. There was no sympathy at all. I thoight hotels wanted out business.

Very friendly staff, great location, easy to get to everywhere. Only bad thing they ask for payment for wifi.
I would stay here again.
Close to kings park, city is just over a bridge.
Parking would be great if you had a car

A lovely apartment hotel, very high standard interior design and decoration... My room was 215, with a river view, small but useable balcony for morning coffees and smoke breaks... Very comfortable stay and free car parking! Able to continue my exercise regime in Kings Park amidst covid-19 situation... I’ll be back to stay for another week!

I had an 8 night Riverview booking for a Perth meeting... I had to cancel because of the Sydney lockdown.

The meeting was rescheduled for Nov... another 8 night booking. Riverview refused to reschedule, and kept the money.

Disgraceful conduct, and I agree with the 1-star review below.

The price is the only difference. I've stayed there long and short stay trips. For reference they consider 3 nights to be a long stay and if you book direct you get free wifi.
