The Parmelia Hilton Perth garners praise for its prime location in the heart of the city, close to shopping and dining hotspots. Guests frequently commend the hotel's cleanliness, particularly the pristine bathrooms, although some suggest communal areas could be improved. The modern atmosphere and spacious rooms receive high marks, with a nod to the well-appointed Executive Lounge.

The Parmelia Hilton has exceptional staff throughout the hotel, everyone smiles and says hello. The rooms are very well maintained, last night was so quiet we wondered what was happening. It was a blissful nights sleep. Shower is excellent and amenities are exactly as you would need. Breakfast was great as always. Our cars was bought around very quickly. We live 15 kilometers from the Parmelia but it is so worth it to stay there becuase of the staff. Thank you very much.

Growing up as a teenage in Perth and since moving to the eastern state, I’ve not had the opportunity to revisit my childhood city and certainly Parmelia Hilton Perth has been a hotel I’m very curious to find out.
My recent revisit to Perth gave me the opportunity to give Parmelia Hilton Perth a try and sure it didn’t disappoint.
The hotel is located at a very central business district, close to the waterfront Elizabeth Quay with easy access to the airport by a direct bus from St George’s Tce just around the corner. Although this 10 story building is old however it is well renovated with all the modern and stylish furnishings especially the common areas and lobby.
Thanks to my Hilton Diamond status, I was upgraded to a Queen Deluxe room with a balcony looking out to the internal pool and it was spacious and very comfortable. TVs are equipped with Chromecast and there’s no issues with connecting YouTube or Netflix from your mobile phone to the big screens.
Executive Lounge is located on the ground floor pass the reception, there are abundance of delicious canapés, wines and beers on offer however, spirits are no where to be seen and they are not on display. If you are looking for a mixed drinks with any spirits, you are welcomed to request from the staff on duty.
Great selection of food on breakfast however only continental breakfast are complimentary for Hilton elite members unless $10 p/person is charged for a full hot breakfast. Considering the great location, warm and welcoming service by all staff at Hilton, I’m more than happy to pay $20 for the hot meal.
Thanks for the fantastic stay and making this trip in Perth a memorable one.

We stayed here for two nights before a cruise. The hotel is located in Perth’s CBD. While it feels quite safe during the day, the area becomes very quiet in the evening and didn’t feel particularly secure to us. In the evenings, we recommend using Uber or a taxi.
We had a suite with a balcony and lounge access. It was comfortable, very clean, and spacious, with modern furnishings. The beds were excellent.
For us, the value for money was good. The staff were friendly but more passive. Questions were answered well, and assistance was offered when asked.
Don’t expect too much from the lounge and the food offered there (breakfast and some evening snacks). While the food is nicely presented buffet-style, the room itself isn’t very appealing. It’s closed off with curtains facing the lobby, which gives it a “cave-like” feel. We prefer more open spaces. To make it sure, I am not talking about the regular dining facilities of the Hilton... Beside the bar we didn’t use them.
The bar is attached to the dining room, has some nice craft beers on tap (high but not excessively priced) and some cozy corners to relax.
The pool area was closed in the winter and undergoing renovations, so we can’t comment on it.
Similarly, we didn’t use the air conditioning as we visited in winter during a stormy weekend in Perth.
If the price is right, this Hilton could be a good choice in Perth. 20 minutes drive away from the airport, 30 minutes drive to Fremantle (port) and 15min walk to the cities center.

Dear StsGermany Thank you for your review! I am delighted that overall you enjoyed your stay with us at Parmelia Hilton Perth before embarking on your cruise. Your comments are acknowledged and I am sorry for any disappointment regarding the executive lounge location. I am not sure when you stayed with us however our swimming pool has not been closed for renovation. It is open every day all year round including during winter, with the exception of a temporary closure for water aerobics for 90 minutes for an event on 8 January. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards Anthony Mauro General Manager

The staff are what make this hotel. Friendly, always courteous and very empathetic when things like your booking goes a little awry.
Buffet breakfast had a great range of items and they were being regularly replenished.
Room service was very prompt - there is a $5 tray charge but I figure that’s reasonable for the relaxing experience of eating in your room

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of Tital Travel group from UK. This was our first visit to Australia and the first hotel we stayed in and felt that if this was the standard of hotels on our tour, then we would be very pleased. We emailed the hotel directly ahead of our trip and made a personal request, which they accommodated us with. They also spotted that it was my birthday on the day we arrived and left a lovely cake & card in our room. We only ate breakfast in the hotel and had no problems with the food nor choice available. Getting around Perth was easy from here - we walked quite a lot, but there are also a few free circular bus services with stops just across the road from the hotel, so they are an added bonus! As this was our first visit, we used the concierge service for advice quite a bit and all of the folks we spoke to were very helpful and understanding. The only reason we haven't given a 5* review is because our room had an interconnecting door and we could hear the guests next door talking loudly in the mornings.

Almost $600 a night for a 3star budget motel? Cheapest of the cheap towels/loo roll, weird staining on the carpet and incredibly noisy even after 10pm at night. They hold events until late. It’s noisier that most European back packers. Very noisy for a Sunday morning, by 9:30 the breakfast hall floor is filthy and very little food left 4/5 toast options gone, almost all the antipasto & sweets are empty. Hot food was regularly refilled but wouldn’t recommend the free buffet breakfast. Rooms are very basic but clean, communal areas (lifts/coffee machines etc) dirty. Unfortunately Parmelia doesn’t hold a torch to the ritz/westin/QT any other 5 star in Perth so wouldn’t recommend. It’s put me off Hiltons in general. Staff were all polite and friendly.

I stayed for a conference at the Perth Conference Centre in October/November 2024. The Parmelia Hilton has easy access to the Convention Centre via an overpass. The Executive King Room in the hotel was modern and comfortable, with a table to work on and multiple power and USB points. The front desk, concierge and housekeeping staff were all helpful. The Executive Lounge was well appointed. The breakfast selection there, although limited was good. The staff in the Lounge were particularly helpful in facilitating a breakfast meeting. There is also a good cafe onsite and an inviting pool area for downtime. Recommended.

The new and shiny hotel cannot cope-I had a very disappointing time here. I stayed with family in connecting rooms for the weekend. The room was not cleaned because they were short of housekeeping staff, the in-room safe would not work because the batteries were out and could not be fixed until the Monday. The TV has no premium channels and Diamond members no longer get the free breakfast in the restaurant.
Apart from apologies, there was nothing else forthcoming from the manager. I wonder if one should be expected to pay for a room when the housekeeping service is not provided.
Tips for management 1. housekeeping shortage - drop a polite note under the door with fresh towels and toiletries. 2. Let your diamond members know where the lounge is and the opening hours.

Dear randyb676 Thank you for your review and feedback following your recent stay. Naturally, I am concerned to learn of the aspects of your visit that were disappointing and sincerely apologise for any housekeeping shortfall. Diamond Hilton Honors members receive breakfast each morning in the executive lounge. It is possible to upgrade to the full buffet breakfast in the restaurant for a supplement of $10 per person per day. Due to Covid restrictions over the past two years, there has been some flexibility with this arrangement to comply with government mandates and hotel occupancy levels, however we have now returned to provide benefits per the Hilton Honors program. My apologies for any disappointment caused. Each guest room television is fitted with Chromecast for you to stream your favourite viewing apps from your device to your television. Thank you again for your feedback as a valued Diamond Member. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon. Best regards Anthony Mauro General Manager

Checking into the the king premier suite on level 10 was certainly a cool and welcome respite from the 4 day heatwave (40 degrees plus) Perth just went through. Complimentary minibar (replenished daily) Evelyn and Crabtree toiletries, walk in shower, bathtub and the convenience of having 2 toilets and TV at our disposal made the stayca even more comfortable. Free wifi speed of 4.93 down and 4.45 up Mbps is sufficient to check emails and light surfing. Some quirks to note Was not able to stream Netflix due to an issue of device connecting to Chromecast. Was also unable to use firestick via the HDMI inputs due to the hotel selling movies. (A$35 sale for 24 hours of unlimited movies viewing). While the movement sensors within the room is a great touch to conserving energy, the living room was plunged into darkness (while working on laptop) after 30 mins which became annoying after a while. Perhaps, the sensors can be recalibrated to between 60 to 90 minutes. What was outstanding and memorable is the attitude of the staff. Carol, Amy from front desk, Claudine and Brayden from Samuel's and the house keeping staff (forgot to take note of names) are truly worthy of mention and are the true stars of the hotel. All in all, a great enjoyable staycation. Thank you for a wonderful way to end the year.

I departed the Parmelia Hilton Hotel one weeks ago feeling as though I were fleeing a war zone. Being unfamiliar with Perth during my first visit and uncertain of the route back to the train station, we sought assistance from a courteous young man at the front desk. Unfortunately, his efforts to help were abruptly interrupted when a senior concierge reprimanded him loudly, shouting inappropriately and questioning his decision to assist us in calling a cab.
I am grateful that some employees at this hotel still demonstrate kindness and empathy toward first-time tourists, which prompted me to add an additional star to my review. However, the discourteous and unprofessional behaviour we experienced overshadowed this gesture of goodwill. While I am not comparing the Parmelia Hilton Hotel to renowned establishments such as Marina Bay Sands in Singapore or Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai—where every staff member warmly greets all guests—the level of hostility we encountered at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel was deeply disappointing, especially as we were extremely unwell on the final day of our stay.
I sincerely hope that the front desk manager, Philip, ensures that no team member is reprimanded for assisting guests with their needs. His behaviour seemed to reflect a sense of victory over two travellers simply seeking a better experience. It was both shocking and disheartening to hear a staff member publicly declare, “It is the best thing for everyone at Parmelia Hilton Hotel to see you leaving.” Such a remark is entirely inappropriate and unacceptable in any hospitality setting. I would also like to emphasise that I had never met this concierge before and had neither said nor done anything personal or inappropriate to anyone at the hotel.
Another alarming incident occurred outside the hotel. One evening, near the entrance of the Parmelia Hilton Hotel, a homeless individual approached me and began shouting aggressively, questioning why I, as an Asian, had dyed my hair brown. This claim was entirely untrue, as my hair had naturally faded to brown after being dyed ash. The situation escalated right at the hotel’s front door, with the homeless individual continuing to shout at me in plain sight of the reception area. Despite the late hour and the door being locked, no staff member intervened or offered assistance, leaving me feeling unsafe and unsupported.
I love Perth, Australia, and certainly plan to visit again. However, I will not be staying at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel. For those who, like me, work during holidays, lead stressful lives, and wish to avoid unnecessary internal conflicts among hotel staff or potentially unsafe situations near the property, I strongly advise against staying here. It could very well turn into one of the worst nightmares of your trip.

If you email Anthony Mauro, the General Manager I’m sure you’ll get a reply. Sorry I can’t answer as this was the first hotel of many during our tour of Australia/New Zealand so can’t recall. It is a lovely modern hotel with very helpful staff.
