Inspired by the powerful multicultural portraiture of renowned Australian street artist Matt Adnate, the hotel’s east-facing wall features one of the world’s largest ‘mega murals’ – a monumental artwork spanning 25 storeys; the largest ever painted by Adnate. Colourful and soulful, the 250-room hotel is an open invitation of hospitality and discovery. Each of the rooms welcomes with design-inspired interiors and giclee prints of the artist’s most-recognised works, complemented by canvas-inspired bed runners. With all the little details taken care of, they’re the perfect place to kick back and relax behind closed doors. Offering city views, an outdoor pool and Hyde Perth Kitchen + Cocktails, a chic, music-inspired restaurant and bar. If you like to stay in shape or are just simply feeling like a little exercise, take advantage of our onsite gym. In the lobby, two original canvases greet with awe-inducing detail, while two large-scale murals and 650 giclee prints of Adnate’s most-recognised works weave their way throughout. And, as always, our complimentary art tours, in-room art channels and art libraries provide the perfect opportunity to broaden your creative horizons. This hotel does not accept cash as a payment method. Credit, debit and prepaid cards are accepted to buy goods and services.

I was very happy with my 10-night stay at The Adnate. After reading other reviews, I had contacted the motel prior to my stay to request a quiet room. We were put on the 18th floor, and had minimal noise come in our room. The view towards the city’s malls was lovely. One night we were even treated to a (distant) fireworks event for Chinese New Year. To get to the Adnate from the airport, simply jump on a train to Perth station. Once there, exit onto Wellington street, cross at the lights, and just down on your right will be a red CAT bus stop. (The CATs are all free!) Travel three stops (get out at His Majesty’s Theatre), and you’ll easily see The Adnate just a bit further up the street: it’s about a one minute walk. As Hay Street is a one-way street, to return to the train station, walk through Shafton Lane then cross Murray Street, and to your right will be the red CAT bus stop. PROS Location: Very close to Hay Street Mall and Murray Street Mall (they run parallel), as well as Elizabeth Quay, Perth train station, numerous eateries, Woolworths, Coles, popular fast ‘food’ outlets, and bus stops for many buses. Summer evening strolls are particularly lovely. Beds: Super comfy. I took my own pillow, so can’t comment on those, though they seem to be standard motel pillows that squish down when you lay on them. My friend used them and didn’t have a problem (and she’s particular with pillows). Toiletries: The Appelles range is lovely. Provided was shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion. If you're a collector of toiletries and other items provided by some motels, you'll be disappointed, as all liquid toiletry items at The Adnate are in secured pump bottles, which is good for the environment. We needed shower caps, so asked Reception and they provided them. Staff (reception and cleaning): Were friendly, helpful, and prompt with service. In-house restaurant: A bit pricey, considering the nearby cheaper eateries, but food was delicious (I had two sliders for $25). The ambience is nice – good natural light and nicely decorated. Air conditioning: As our stay was during a heat wave, we appreciated the excellent air conditioning, with our own room settings. Shower: Two different shower heads – both lovely, with good water pressure. We had two large towels (bath sheets) each, plus numerous hand and face towels. Power points: At least two USB charge points, that I saw, and numerous power points. Fridge: Empty bar fridge which meant there was room for our milks and fruit. CONS Cash: The restaurant advertises that it doesn’t accept cash. Adnate – please consider reversing this unethical decision. Cash is king! Had I known this prior to booking, I would not have booked, as I do not knowingly support businesses that refuse cash. However, we asked if we could pay cash at the restaurant, and were told we could if we had the correct change: we did. We appreciated the bending of this ridiculous ‘rule’. Noise: If you're on a lower floor, the pub/nightclub next door can cause noise issues. We were on the 18th floor so it was not a problem. Water: One ‘welcome’ bottle per person on the first day only. Tap water had a strong chlorine smell. Head to Woolworths (entry via Hay Street Mall) and grab some bottled water (I found Pureau to be the healthiest). Pool: Small. As it was super hot the entire time of our stay, the pool was always in use, and often by a lot of guests. Because of the size, thus overcrowding, we didn’t use it. TIPS Pack a few extra coat hangers, if you’re staying a while. If you find your internet drops out after a couple of days, go to your settings, and under ‘Forget this connection’, start a new log in (as advised by staff). Eating: Saigon restaurant, less than a minute away = cheap and delicious food (but is closed on weekends). Also try nearby Shafton Lane eateries. For a splurge, catch the 935 bus to the Crown for their $60 buffet lunch (book in advance). Bus: All CATS go to either Elizabeth Quay Busport interchange or Perth train station. We took a few CAT rides – it’s an excellent (and free) way to see the outer city. To get to the blue, purple, or green CAT bus stops (as well as other bus routes) on nearby St Georges Terrace, simply cross Hay Street and walk through the Cloisters mall. Train: There is also an entrance to the Perth train station at the top of Murray Street Mall (William Street end). If you’re lugging suitcases to the airport, get the red CAT re above. The train takes about 25 minutes to get to Fremantle ($5.10/adult; much cheaper for concession and children). Fremantle/Rottnest Island: If you’re heading to the ferries at Elizabeth Quay, the blue CAT will take you to the doorstep. From The Adnate, it’s one stop (from memory) after the Perth Busport interchange (so only two or three stops from The Adnate). Or you can get out at the Busport interchange and walk for 5-10 minutes (it’s a nice walk). Or walk from The Adnate - it takes maybe 15 minutes.

While the lobby and pool areas is well Kept the rooms are sub par. The staff are not helpful at all. They didn’t once help with luggage or even open the door in the lobby (even though we were carrying 3 bags, a baby and a pram!) The food at the pool is horrible and no where near 5 star. My beef burger was burnt. Overall this is not a 5 star hotel.

Loved the art, we watched the short doco on how the art series started with the artist. Also loved the pool side bar and restaurant - we spent all evening there and had a wonderful time! We found the parking good although you have to get to the parking off the street behind.

Great modern hotel. The large bed and pillows were comfy. Spacious room. Location in CBD was good - easy walk to public transport, shops and restaurants. Nice views across the city from our room. Service was friendly and efficient - would return.

I had a great stay until we left the hotel and my Husband accidentally left his Billabong shorts in the bathroom. We called numerous times and the reception staff could never get in touch with housekeeping, they told us to email them which we did and they never applied. It’s disappointing that these shorts could somehow never be found and to be honest puts us off from staying there again. The room was lovely. Nice and big, close to RAC arena and lots of restaurants. The pool is small, with not much seating so does get very busy. I would like to see an improvement at breakfast, at least some hash browns and some more egg options such as fried or an omelette.

Five nights in this hotel booked directly with ALL. We requested a king room but were placed in the wheelchair accessible room without clear reason? On three separate days we had to specifically request housekeeping come and help make up the room and then wait downstairs for several hours for this to occur. One day the room had no toilet paper or tissues and we had to request this three times before it was sent up. Perfectly acceptable hotel overall but a misnomer to list this as five stars. Quite disappointing compared to true luxury hotel experiences

Very mixed stay at this hotel for 3 nights in February 2024. As an Accor platinum member I requested an early check in as our flight arrived into Perth mid morning. I understood this request is ‘subject to availability’ but it ended up not happening. We stored our bags and they called when the room was ready. Room was on the top floor, clean and comfortable. My platinum welcome ‘gift’ was one small bottle of water and 3 macarons. Underwhelming to share between 2 people, especially as we often receive a bottle of wine, luxury chocolates etc at other Accor venues. We did however have two vouchers for free drinks in the bar. Yay! We encountered the grumpiest barman in Perth, who completely ignored us standing at the bar, even though we were the only people there. I asked what we could choose with our vouchers. He rolled his eyes and said “house red, house wine or small beer”. I dared to ask what the house white, and he rolled his eyes again and replied SBS. He clearly felt that serving drinks was beneath him and we were a huge inconvenience! He then poured the smallest glass of wine possible and went back to ignoring us. Lovely! We then tried to find a seat that wasn’t disgustingly stained and dirty (some photos attached) The bar interaction and the lack of room amenities felt like a cost cutting exercise. No free water in the room. No decent sized cups etc. I was naked and about to step into the shower before I discovered there was no shower cap. I eventually found a note to say amenities were ‘on request’ and I had to phone to ask for one! We stay in a lot of hotels and this one will definitely not be on my Perth list in future!

First time staying here and will make it my Perth accommodation location now. Walking distance to most of my customers, close to many good eating places and amenities, and easy to park with the car park located next door. Room was quiet and comfortable, while the bar and restaurant great for a relaxing drink or meal.

Fabulous..After staying last January 2023 and realising we were heading back to Perth January 2024 there was only one place we were going to stay..The Adnate-Art Series.. It has wowed us again.Parking was straight forward and secure. Staff are amazing and the rooms and hotel certainly do not disappoint. The pool does get quite busy but there are plenty of tables and seating around to suit so that you can just relax and enjoy the warmth of the Perth sunshine. Food wad good. Great location 15 min walk to Elizabeth Quay 10 min walk into the city. Only dilemma now is that we do not want to go home but we have to..so can we dare return again next year? Special thanks to all the staff but especially Bradley and Rach who once again have made our stay so wonderful.

This is an amazing hotel with some superb artwork to complement the excellent staff and location. Situated in the CBD, it allowed easy walking to the main parts of the city, with the harbour about 10 minutes walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar, restaurant and pool were all great. We had a light dinner on arrival which was very good, and the breakfasts were all one could wish for including a pancake maker. The story behind this hotel and others in the chain is very interesting and it provided a lot of fabulous artwork to check out during our stay.
