A true taste of Western Australian hospitality. Quay Perth boutique hotel is located on Perth’s waterfront Esplanade, overlooking the city’s vibrant Elizabeth Quay with sweeping views of the Swan River and beyond. As the city’s ultimate destination in which to co-work, co-live and co-play, Quay Perth is in the heart of the CBD with close proximity to public transport, and with Perth’s waterfront, dining and social amenities at its doorstep.

Detailed Reviews
Booked this property looking for somewhere different to stay in Perth.
The booking engine I used clearly stated what was being offered e.g. River view, 5th or 6th floor.
Room was small compared to other modern hotels, but was completely adequate. It's clear looking at old photos of the area, the hotel has been there for quite some time, but the renovation that has been done is outstanding. The room was cleverly designed and very comfortable. Complete blackout blinds and double glazed windows made a very comfortable sleeping environment, not to mention the very comfortable king bed.
The restaurant wasn't to my taste, but there would be many who would love to get up there and soak up the view of Elizabeth Quay. The coffee at the cafe in the lobby 'Community' was great as was the choice of breakfast and all at standard prices.
The location is super, straight on the river for a morning walk and only one block up into the CBD and shopping malls.
Overall, very impressed with this little surprise package!

The Hotel is in an excellent location and enables easy access to the ferry services and the City.
It is walking distance to a number of water view dining options and the a la carte breakfast is a good enough reason to go there even if you are not staying at the hotel.
Only disadvantages to note: Car Parking is not included in the room rate. No fitness centre or swimming pool. Need to request and iron and wardrobe is open door hanging. Bathroom was sensational - large enough for 2 people to get organised at the one time.

. I just wanted to say that my wife and I enjoyed this hotel immensely.
Here is what we liked about it:
• Room checkouts were running understandably late but the Manager made us feel relaxed and gave us a free breakfast token for making us wait which only took 10 min. We found this service above and beyond and was a great start to our stay.
• The room – 706 which we booked was fantastic with a beautiful view of the Quay . I will also add that my wife is usually very sensitive when it comes to beds but theirs' were probably the most comfortable we have had at any hotel we have stayed in.
• The HQ bar was amazing. The food was affordable but very delicious, Their slow cooked ribs and whiting main dishes had me addicted and I had them on both nights of our stay, plus the view was beautiful. I will be returning for dinner with my family, that’s for sure.
• There is a girl called Riley that worked up at HQ and was responsible for room service as well. She deserves commendation as we found her to be very accommodating, friendly and enhanced our stay with just her personality and customer service.
• Finally the location was perfect. Close to the city for shopping which we did and close to the tourist amenities that the Quay/ Riverside offer. Beautiful views, everything within walking distance.
We will definitely be here again!

Perhaps 3/5 rating is too harsh. 3.5/5 would be fairer.
We took advantage of the Luxury Escapes 2 day deal. $299 for 2 nights including breakfast, late checkout, $50 bar voucher and a bottle of wine.
The room given to us was very small with a view to the rear of building - a very uninspiring carpark. We were looking forward to a beautiful view over Elizabeth Quay. I guess that was if you paid the $100 upgrade. These rooms appeared bigger also, so it was probably worth the extra cost.
The highlight however was the stunning views from the rooftop bar "HQ". We had a $50 voucher to spend there and watched the sun set with a cocktail, wine and chicken wings. It was a very nice experience.
Breakfast (al-a-carte) was a little average. The food was prepared well, but the choices were limited. My partner had the smoked salmon, which she felt was not fresh. I had the pancakes which were nice
It was an enjoyable weekend. The location of the hotel is excellent for accessing Elizabeth Quay, Perth CBD and public transport.

If your alone and staying a night or two or won’t be making use of the room except for a place to rest your head after a big night out, this place might be ok. But for the price, it’s all cosmetic and location with no substance. Contemporary but totally impractical design for couples. An unnecessarily heavy sliding panel serves as both bathroom door and perhaps privacy (?) panel to close off the front door from the bedroom and requires a degree of coordination for a couple coming and going from both areas to prevent accidental crushing. If you somehow prefer the privacy from the front door then you are exposed to the visual of the toilet and all else that goes with an open bathroom so close to the bed. One hook in the bathroom, no other facility to hang a second towel or hand towel. Ridiculous side table lighting that won’t turn off unless you unplug it. A phone with a large LED panel constantly flashes all night to bring the outside bright lights inside despite the black out curtains. I recommend the coffee downstairs for sure. Beats the Nespresso coffee machine that tasted like it had never been descaled or cleaned. And for such a contemporary modern looking hotel, surprisingly they seem to think that watching free to air is still a thing. It felt like stopping at a roadside motel at the turn of the century and laughing at the sign that said “Colour TV available!” No you won’t find a smart TV with streaming and no screenshare capability unless you have a laptop.
But for all the fancy facade that this place tries to hide behind, the most revealing factor which betrays their want of due attention is what in most places is kept well behind front of house. But here it is an unfortunate greeting if you happen to have a car and use the neighbouring car park immediately adjacent to the hotel. At the very least, an attempt to clean up the filthy garbage refuse area should be at the top of the list. Yes, garbage stinks I know, but if your going to force people to walk past it with their luggage in tow from the lift or driveway in order to get to reception, at least cordon it off so you don’t have to absorb the smell and sight of loose rubbish and an overflowing waste oil barrel oozing it’s putrid grease everywhere whilst a staffer sits smoking amongst it all. A good clean up here and overall a more practical eye would have served this establishment well.

+1
Stayed here for two nights in a room on the second floor overlooking Elizabeth Quay. Unfortunately developers are in the middle of excavating a site in the block straight in front of, and between, the Quay hotel and Elizabeth Quay which will probably see this great view all but disappear.
Our room was quite spacious and had a king sized bed (very comfortable) that had a small bedside table with a reading lamp on either side of the bed. On the wall at the foot of the bed was a very modern steel structure that supported a desk, a table, shelves and a rail for hanging clothes (there was no wardrobe or safe). There was one chair, a mini bar and tea and coffee (pods) making equipment.
The bathroom was large and very well lit with plenty of space around the vanity for toiletries and a huge walk in shower with both rainwater and hand held shower nozzles.
The only issue we had was that there was a large sliding door into the bathroom and the light switch was on the outside wall which meant that light flooded onto the bed when the sliding door was opened.
WIFI was included and worked well.
Car parking was available at the Wilson car park next door for $38 per day (multiple entry) which is apparently a negotiated rate with the hotel. You had your car parking ticket validated by reception each time you left and returned and the parking was added to your bill. The cost was more than expected but we were unable to book the parking that we wanted via the Wilson parking App.
There is a very good bar and restaurant up on the 10th floor where you can sit outside on the balcony and enjoy a lovely view over Elizabeth Quay and the Swan River.
Staff at reception and on the 10th floor overall were good although we did have some difficulty with our communication with one staff member who we were unlucky enough to encounter at both check-in and check-out.
Would definitely stay here again.

I recently spent a week at the hotel for work and whilst I didn't strongly dislike the experience, I won't be rushing back. I found the room was lovely, however, the layout of the bathroom was quite odd and felt a bit claustrophobic and was not the best use of space.
I was also disappointed to find out that the hotel did not have any in house dining options on Sundays or Mondays. Neither room service or uber eats were delivered to the room and whilst some staff were lovely, others were transactional and not enjoyable to deal with.
Parking for the hotel is at an old parking space nearby that is not directly connected to the hotel, and will set you back $30 per day.
The hotel had a lot of potential, however the basic services you expect in a hotel were not present here and really let down the experience.

Great hotel, staff, amenities, view and location. My wife and I couldn't ask for a more convenient hotel setting. The ease of street parking also makes this an ideal hotel location in Perth as we were often collected by a family member on several occasions.

Beautiful room and location that outclasses many in a higher price point. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the HQ kitchen was excellent.
Below par in-room entertainment, and cleaners skipped out on dusting in areas such as above the dresser frame and under the bathroom shelves. The standard pillows were also huge, would have been nice to have a less bulky option.
Overall, if you bring your own pillows and aren’t planning on spending much time in the room - great option. Just ask the staff to do a clean in the areas I pointed out if you have dust allergies.
If you are looking to spend more time in the room, Tribe is more fun at a cheaper price for not as nice of a room, QT is superior in every way other than location for a more expensive price point.
