Detailed Reviews

The breakfast was woeful. I ordered smashed avo on toast with poached eggs. The smashed avo alone was $19, and was a smear of one avacado on pretty standard bread with some fetta crushed over the top (See picture). I probably would have paid $6 for this lame excuse for a breakfast, but $19 was pure robery. The poached eggs were forgotten about, so I had to send it back, and service in general was poor.

The check-in lady was very friendly. The room was adequate. comfortable bed and pillows. Poor reception on tv. No wine glasses in cupboard. The icebox was absolutely thick with ice and ice cubes looked dirty. Only 2 teabags in cupboard. No information in the room regarding breakfast times. The included breakfast only had 4 options of cooked breakfast only. Staff seemed to struggle with communication. Plug in spa bath had no spring, and therefore would not hold water. Disappointing. Hopefully this constructive feedback will give you an opportunity for improvement, so others can enjoy a stay in an otherwise lovely heritage hotel. Christine & Steve Williams

Stayed there in September for $300. First, we got there and for some reason they changed our room but didn't complain as it was a similar room to the booked one. Also the restaurant was undergoing maintenance but wasn't told about it until we got there.
Once in the room, around 7pm we noticed the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking a lot of water for 15 minutes from the bathroom above our room. I went down to let the receptionist know and they said they were gonna look into it. They never came back to us with an update. At 4am it started leaking again making a lot of noise for half an hour and we couldn't sleep again for two hours. After complaining we got promised a complimentary night for October. The day before our complimentary night we got a message saying that the room wasn't gonna be available due to the hotel undergoing maintenance (THE NIGHT BEFORE) so we rearranged for the 26th of November. I just contacted them asking if everything was okay for our booked night and now they say that the booking is arranged for the 27th instead. There is no way this is what we agreed on as we live 130km from Perth and work Monday to Friday, so staying a Sunday is not an option for us. We confirmed the date over the phone twice before agreeing.
Extremely disappointed with the customer service as it seems that they're just trying to get away from giving us the agreed complimentary night. Screwed our plans for the weekend. Terrible hotel.

Very pleasantly surprised at this heritage hotel located at the top end of St George’s Tce. Plenty of buses passing outside to take you various places with the CBD, Kings Park, Leederville, etc. Staff including Sam and Hannah were very friendly and helpful, evening meal and breakfast were very good and great value. Hardly any traffic noise in our room thanks to double glazing, bed was good too. Would definitely stay again.

This isn’t Best Western anymore. Hotel is welcoming, clean and has a relaxed vibe. Bar is well stocked with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable. A perfect location for the convention centre. We would happily come again.
