Detailed Reviews
This hotel was great for a night or two. Good, clean and comfortable rooms and a great communal lounge. Friendly staff and a well equipped kitchen. Good value for money. They could probably charge a bit more if they updated the carpets.

Excellent location and affordable price. Clean rooms and open spaces. The location is minutes from everything in Perth especially Perth Station and Buses. I checked in after reception closed was emailed with the steps prior to my arrival and had no problems at all. Great little spot with a cute cafe next door to it.

Found the greeting at reception a bit off, it was closed, someone appeared but very little communication. Ensuite room was acceptable, bathroom had been refurbished. Lack of bedside lights. Kitchen arrangements were not explained at reception but by another guest. You need to get a box of plates, cutlery etc etc from reception and follow the rules in the kitchen. Room smelt of chinese, that was because the windows were open and there is an oriental restaurant on the corner (it was ok, we tried it). Location good for the main shopping area, the station, restaurants etc. All in all, it was an above average stay.

We stay at this hotel , and the only point positive us the friendly guy in the reception from France.
The rest a nightmare , for start is a short lady that goes around very rude , I don't know if is the owner ,looks like a homeless...
The carpet in the room is super old and dirt , the rules is just ridiculous you pay 700 aud if the alarm goes off, I understand if you smoking you need to pay , but if you take a hot long shower ??
Ofcourse our showers as very short and almost cold water , because we are afraid of this rules...
We checkout 2 days before and moved to another hotel

Didn’t end up staying as it was recommended by staff that I should book elsewhere as no one would be working to check us in late. I asked if they would waive the fees as they had told me to cancel, they themselves denied the request to waive fees saying that I cancelled the day of arrival (when in fact I cancelled the day before). I was really, really disappointed in how they handled it and how they responded to my messages, it was all very curt and dismissive. Even if I am wholeheartedly in the wrong it was an honest mistake and they would have handled it better. Not great customer service at all.

This was the worst accomodation I have ever seen. No ammenities in the room. The room smelt, stained carpet, holes in the curtains, holes in the floor boards, the carpet held the floor together. There was no heating/cooling. This should be condemned.

I stayed here for two weeks with a friend and really enjoyed my stay here. We stayed in a double, private room with a shared bathroom. Our room was clean and a good size, the bathroom was also kept pretty clean too!
Location is excellent, you are right in the middle of everything and Kirsty on reception is really welcoming and can advise you on what activities to do in the area.
The coffee shop just inside the hotel is excellent and the guy who works there is so friendly.

I had arrived early at the hotel from the airport at 7.00am. I was told the receptionist will only come at 8.30am. If I needed assistance I should dial a certain number shown on the door. But I do not have an Australian sim card. And there was no place where I can sit down and rest my tired feet as to enter the lounge you need to punch in the password. So I waited at a bus stop several meters from the hotel till 8.30pm. There was still no sight of anyone in the reception. Finally at 9.00am she came and I managed to check-in.
There should be someone present at the reception throughout the day just in case we need help.
The stairs are not well-lit.
Locationwise this hotel is tops as it is near to the train station and several CAT bus stops. There are lots of restaurants and convenience shops and souvenir shops nearby and some of the major sights can be reached on foot.

This hotel is a hidden gem.The plain exterior hides an amazing beautiful old building on the inside.I stayed only one night in a small room.perfectly clean..comfortable bed.The rooms have very high ceilings so it gives the room the feel of a much larger space.A small fridge was also included...perfect for keeping my bottle of champers cooled..lol!! No breakfast was included but there is a great little café at the front entrance to the hotel. It is just a short walk to the main shopping area of perth. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful heritage listed Hotel right in the middle of Perth, opposite the train station. Run by a groups of travellers who know what they are talking about. Booked in to then Male Dorm but only 2 other guys to share with, so really had my own ares/room for $35 a night! Use of clean kitchen and laundry. Huge lounge with big TV. Cafe in foyer. Great!
