Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really like the quiet nature of this caravan park, it's location and proximity to Cable Beach and the friendly, relaxed regulars who are welcoming and accommodating. if you're over the bouncy castles and the crowded larger parks, try this one. But, book well ahead!

Quiet side with shady pitches. Unfortunately the speed bumps at the entrance are a nightmare in a camper however slowly you go over them! Not all the showers/toilet were open so had to wait at times. They are a good size but cleanliness relies on the previous user to clean the floor with the mop provided! Good sized washing machines with plenty of drying lines. Beware of the biting ants on the pitches of which there were rather a lot!
Cable beach is at least 20 minutes walk away so not really doable when it’s hot.

It was a great park, toilets showers pretty good. Mozzies were quite bad, same as Derby, so cover up, all of Broome was bad. Enjoyed our stay. Close to town and cable beach. Have a good selection of books to swap if your a reader.

We stayed here probably not in peak season, therefore the caravan park was not full. It had a lovely relaxed, tropical vibe with plenty of birds and bats around and a great grassy site for our camper trailer. We arrived late and Grant the owner came over to see if we were happy with the site and to welcome us - we thought this was wonderful. The amentities were very clean (particularly compared to other caravan parks we have stayed at elsewhere!) with fans in the bathrooms due to the heat, the washing machines were new and very good and you could buy icecreams and a few essentials at the office. The camp kitchen was small but well set up and it was great that there was a recycling bin to use. We noted the noise of the airport could not be avoided anywhere in Broome but otherwise this park was nice and quiet and as our kids were older, they were happy with that. We went to the beach every day and had no need for a swimming pool. We loved our 6 night stay in Broome and we highly recommend this caravan park.

Had to cancel a 5 night site due to the sudden border closure and park refused refund. Long winded email referring to their cancellation policy, even though still 2 weeks notice. Paid $200 deposit in Nov which means they had use of that for 6 months and now keep it and rebook the site. Double dipping for sure.
Offered $150 off booking before Nov 2021 but let’s face it Broome is on the other side of the nation, not just up the road.
Beware if you book in advance you may kiss your money goodbye.

Although we were only able to book one night here due to Broome being so busy, we really enjoyed our experience at Tarangau Caravan park. The staff were wonderful. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Lovely trees & grassed sites. We will be back!!

We arrived in Broome to discover it was 'Staircase to the Moon' and there was nothing available. The managers at Tarangau went out of their way to help us and allowed us to stay that night even though they were fully booked out. They then juggled some bookings so that we could stay another 4 nights. They were outstanding.
The amenities were very clean and kept in excellent condition. All the staff were very friendly. The sites were smaller than average but well maintained. Even though there is no pool, it is walking distance to Cable Beach which is beautiful. There is a bus stop right outside the gate which provides easy and affordable access to everything in Broome.
We will definitely come back.

Tarangau caravan park and their amazing staff welcomed us with open arms from the very beginning. We were a group of three backpackers from France and England and the warm hospitality shown from the staff and residents was clear from the start of our nearly 2 month stay.

The reception staff always tried their absolute hardest to find my friends and I a place to stay, even when it looked unlikely we could find a place to sleep, they'd come through.

Clean ameneties, well equipped and friendly camp kitchen and an overall positive vibe make Taarangau the place to stay while in Broome. They gave us a home, not just a place to stay.

Beautiful quiet park, grounds well maintained, on site facilities were clean, very friendly and helpful management, close to beach. Sites were spacious, water available on non-powered sites, plenty of washing lines. 2 way entry exit made moving around the park easy.

We arrived late due to change of our flight from Perth and consequent late collection of our camper van. All the instructions re the site were left at the office door. We had had to change our reservation 3 times due to covid which the staff did without issue. The campground was a delight park away from main roads with lots of grass and trees We had a lovely spacious site near a small toilet block and the highlight for me were the tiny frogs that popped out of the overflow holes at night! The amenities were clean and the staff very pleasant
