Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Broome is not cheap. Accommodation at a decent price is difficult to find. Bayside Holiday Apartments provided us with a roomy two bedroom apartment with a great location across the road from Matso's and a short walk into town. Fully equipped kitchen, a free laundry, offstreet secure parking, a refreshing pool. A basic but good place to stay.

Booked well in advance and this property was very good value. Old but clean and well kept. Just looks like the room could do with a modernisation soon. Note, Check-in is at the Moonlight Bay Hotel 100m away (saves you trying to work out how to get on arrival). The pool is small but you are able to use Moonlight Bay’s more substantial facilities. Matsos is right across the street for good food and drinks, and the nearby bus stop makes it cheap and easy for longer distances, otherwise it’s a pleasant walk to Chinatown or the Town Beach Markets.

Older style ( dated) ground level units within a fully enclosed security fence. The unit was lovely and clean and comfortable. It has everything you need for self catering - plus lots of little extras like an iron. Great bedside lamps for reading. There is an outdoor area to sit and relax quietly. The pool looked lovely and clean. Matsos Brewery is right across the road for lunch or dinner. It is easy walking distance to town - about 10 minutes. Plus the bus stop is just nearby and the local service is fantastic and excellent value. It is obviously not a 5 star building but for those who aren't expecting too much it is a great spot to stay.

I was really surprised when I arrived here…check in first is at Moonlight Bay apartments around the corner. Key code entry through steel gates for extra security for the car , there is approximately 12 little apartments here. My little apartment was 2 bedroom with a queen in one and two singles in the other. There is a lounge room , dining table and medium size kitchen with stove , tv , microwave and full size fridge…this would be perfect for a small family with a pool in the centre of the property. There was even a few fold up chairs and table if you wanted to set up outside. Bayside is directly across from Matso’s brewery that do lunch and dinner. It’s also within walking distance to Broome town shops and town beach , I enjoyed a good nites sleep during my 3 nite stay and would definitely stay here again .

After having worked in hospitality and tourism for years now including the last couple of years in the current pandemic I am very disappointed in the way in bayside apartments handled my recent cancellation of stay. As an NT resident I was subject to the very sudden border restrictions put in place by WA. As soon as info was released I made contact with the hotel to have my reservation refunded of the first nights accommodation which had been pre paid to secure. I was told by hotel that they do not provide refund if you cancel within 72 hours out regardless of COVID or not. My booking was 48hrs away and the border closer happened less then an hour prior ! When I questioned this and the fact they have nothing on either their website or booking.com in regards a COVID cancellation policy I was informed that it’s just general knowledge and it’s the price you pay for wanting to travel during a pandemic. I’m shocked by the bad luck attitude they provided not even offered a credit - not that I would want to or recommend anyone to stay there

We stayed at the Bayside Apartments which is directly opposite Matsos. Check in was a little confusing as you had to check in at Moonlight Apartments and walk about 200m down the road. The accommodation was simple but perfect. Had all amenities that we needed and a pool. It was a little dated and the air con was loud but still good. The best part was yet to come! We checked out in the morning and they offered to take our luggage and we could use the pool and facilities at Moonlight Apartments. This was awesome as we couldn't check in until 2pm for cable beach. It certainly added a nice touch to our stay.

Bayside apartments are across the road from Matso`s brewery & restaurant. The apartments are in walkable distance to China town & Town Beach. There is a bus service by Matso`s that takes you to all local areas if you do not want to walk. The rooms are basic but have what is needed for your stay. The air conditioning is very noisy so unable to sleep with it on at night. There is no WIFI at Bayside apartments. You can use the WIFI at Moonlight Hotel but it is not a secure site & we found that our devices would not allow us to use it. The pool area at Bayside does not have sunshades so very hot & the chairs provided are hard & uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. You are able to use the Moonlight Bay Hotel while staying at Bayside, the poolside is much better than at Bayside with areas in the shade & more comfortable chairs. The location overlooks Roebuck bay.

I had a very comfortable stay over 5 days. So what if the decor is a little dated- trust me, you don't want lux in Broome's red dirt. The room was clean and serviced every day. There is no shade around the pool so wear your thongs to the water's edge! I loved that I could buy a take away from the Night Markets and nuke it back in my apartment. I even cooked a couple of weekend morning fry ups. The management provided additional hangers and a clothes airer (I'm a diva) to make things more comfortable. The location is better than staying at Cable Beach because Old Broome is just a short walk from China Town, the weekend markets and Matso's is right across the road. There is also a bus service 2 minutes around the corner. to take you to the sunsets at Cable Breach.

Made a booking online, receive a confirmation number immediately and 2 hours later get a call and an email to say they are cancelling our booking due to no availability.....even though it was confirmed! Returned the call to receive zero customer service to be told. Oh well, you still have time to find other accommodation! We were not offered any other accommodation by themselves, even though they are part of an accommodation group and have other apartments / rooms within there accommodation group. It’s a blessing in disguise as there many other more modern accommodation available within Broome all of which offer great service all round! Do not recommend them!!

We ready enjoyed our four night stay here.We could easily walk or get the bus into town.We hired a car to drive to cable beach and the crocodile park and were able to park it by our unit which was very handy. This offers very comfortable accomodation with a perfectly adequate kitchen, bedroom and ensuite. It had good air conditioning albeit a bit noisy a nice patio and a small pool that was shared by others that were also staying in the small gated complex
