We have thoroughly enjoyed our 7 days. We decided to stay close to China Town and not Cable Beach and could not be happier. The facilities include apartment style accommodation with kitchen and lounge. Shady gardens and a wonderful large pool at just the right temperature with massive lawns down to the ocean Matso’s is across the road, China Town with a pleathers of cafes and restaurants plus Pearl Central is just 10 minutes easy walk. The Broome Experience bus (stop outside Matso’s) is just $4.00 each and will drop you right at Cable Beach and everywhere else. The staff were brilliant Thankyou Steve, Ruth and Olivier Well done😀

We stayed for a week and although our room did not overlook the bay we were still very comfortable in our large apartment. Although not a new building it was quite well looked after and we enjoyed using the large pool everyday. I did mention that there was a need for more shade around the pool and was told that it had been an oversight that more umbrellas had not been put out. The staff were always helpful and the housekeeping staff did a good job. We would be happy to stay there again

Wish I had discovered this place years ago. Have previously stayed at Seashells and The Oaks at Cable Beach and this is so much better. We always hire a car in Broome, and found it really hard to get dinner bookings at Cable Beach due to it being so busy so were coming into town anyway. Moonlight Bay Suites is so close you can walk to town in 10 minutes and in the evening its very pleasant. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of storage space. The pool is a great size and has lovely views. My 12 year old enjoyed the gym beside the pool. The beauty place was unattended. Having Matsos across the road was perfect and the staff can help you get a booking.
We have already booked to return next year.

The staff were lovely & helpful when needed, Broome was (as is any tourist destination in Aus) suffering a staff shortage… However the couple at the desk upon check-in explained this & that the room wouldn’t be able to be serviced daily (I didn’t expect this anyway) they however change linen on day 4 & as compensation offer a card for complimentary drink each & snack at Matso’s across the road, Thankyou it was a very nice welcome to Broome ☺️. We ate or drank at Matso’s several times during our 7 day stay, it’s conveniently close by & has live music several nights a week. Moonlight was I feel good value for Broome & although they (as everyone in Broome) had staff shortages we didn’t notice it. Grounds & pool kept tidy & clean… staff that did service rooms were lovely & helpful. We’ll be staying here again. It wasn’t fancy & is probably due a bit of a refurbish, but perfect for us … newer places lack soul & Moonlight had soul.

So pleased we chose to stay here and not out at Cable Beach. Location was perfect as was our apartment. We received the ground floor room we requested and could not be happier. Everything spotless, room cleaned each day. Every amenity in the room you could wish for, tea, coffee and milk replenished daily. Very easy to self cater. Views over the bay superb, lovely pool area and well maintained BBQ area. Reception staff very kind and helpful. Bus stop right outside the door for the Broome Explorer bus. Small guest room available with washing machine, dryer and shower if you don't have late check out, which we appreciated. Couldn't be happier with our stay, and look forward to returning in the future.

Whenever I stay in Broome, this the place to be, so when I brought my sister and niece to town, Moonlight Bay Suites was the obvious choice. I always request a room with a view, very often opting for the two bedroom apartments, because sitting on the balcony, watching that magnificent coloured ocean, and the fascinating mangroves with its abundant birdlife, is my idea of bliss. Throw in an icy G & T or a glass of quality bubbly, and it's total heaven. The apartment, as always, was very clean and well appointed, and I really liked how spacious it was.... very comfortable indeed for the 3 of us. The town is within easy walking distance, and Matsos is only 80 meters or so down the road. (Great atmosphere and fab ginger beer! ), so location is fabulous..... with the beautiful vista of Roebuck Bay adding to it all. The pool's a great size, BBQ facilities are available next to the pool and large lawn area, and there's a gym. Something for everyone. Staff were welcoming and efficient and Steve, the Manager, offered us the use of a "comfort Room" on the day we checked out so we could return to the hotel after a day tour to shower and refresh ourselves before our late flight. Seriously, I love this place, and if you time it with Stairway to the Moon...... quadruple bonus. My sister and niece also thought it was a real find and will recommend it to their friends etc, just as I have. As a side note; every person I've suggested stay at The Moonlight Bay Suites have loved, and preferred it, over their usual Broome accommodation. Certainly, I'll be returning.

We stay for 5 nights. For the price we paid per night there was definitely other apartments much better in Broome, such as Oaks Cable Beach. We definitely will not stay here again. Pros - Hot showers, nice swimming pool and good location walking distance to Town Beach or the main city centre. Cons - It can get noisey on some nights due to the live entertainment at Matso Brewery which is accross the road. There is no cleaning / servicing of rooms unless you stay 6 nights or more. Staff will only collect the rubbish and replace items if you ask for it. Dont expect for the floors to be vacuum or any sort of cleaning service during your stay. They had no basic items in the kitchen such as herbal tea or dish washing scrubs or scissors. **There is no restaurant on site**. Hotel staff will send you to Matso Bewery which is accross the road from the hotel. You have to pay for the shared washing machines and dryers. Other apartments have washing machines within the apartment.

Moonlight Bay Suites have extra large rooms with plenty of room. The views over Roebuck Bay are magnificent, especially when viewing the staircase to the moon phenomenon. You have your own private viewing for sunrises as well. It’s a flat easy walk into Broome or up to Town Beach for coffee at the cafe. The shuttle to the airport stops out the front and the town bus out to Cable Beach picks up across the road at Matsos. You have the choice of cooking your own breakfast or going next door to The Mangrove Hotel or Matsos. It’s an ideal location for a quiet relaxing stay in Broome. We stayed before and after our Kimberley tour and loved every minute. We think this is the best place to stay in Broome.

Beautiful apartment in a fabulous location. The staff were very accomodating; we had an issue with our oven and were provided with a convection oven/air fryer within the hour. The owners were also super flexible and allowed us to store our luggage/fridge food whilst we were on a tour. Would absolutely come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

I really enjoyed this suite motel The staff was very helpful, especially Steve. He had great tips on the area, restaurants, and anything else I needed. He carried my bags up the stairs for me. I didn't have a view, but I didn't have to walk far. There is a freezer in the office area with wonderful ice cream bars...just the perfect dessert or lunch! Staff called taxies for me. Matso's sent over food and wine and charged them to the room bill...delivered them to the room. Bed was very comfortable. A/C worked great. Trash was picked up daily and new towels were supplied, otherwise no other maid service. Nice display of jewelry in the lobby area. Nice stay.

Need to climb stairs to access upstairs apartments but no step into shower from memory.
There are great views of Roebuck Bay from a few of the upstairs apartments but you would need to request these when booking. Worth it in my opinion.
Also worth mentioning that it is a good place to see "Stairway to the Moon" if you happen to be there at that time. Again... worth planning for.
These apartments are well loctaed but would suggest a hire car as Broome is very spread out and there are many sights to see that are not serviced by public transport.
I was not able to view sunrise in July from the grassed area, as trees and another hotel were in the way, so viewing the Stairway would be limited then. Should see it from September.
There are more places to choose from in the Broome area.
