My colleague and I arrived for business on the 4th of May. I was allocated Tent 1 and my colleague was in a more traditional apartment. Apart from the pool, the resort facilities, cleanliness, and amenities were disappointing. First, I would avoid Tent 1 like the plague – and possibly all the other tents. It felt like a prison. Tent 1 is not air conditioned, but you will be told on immediate arrival "you will not need the fans to be on high at night, as it will cool down". What a load of rubbish. It was like sleeping in a sauna. I booked through Qantas Hotels and at no time, did the booking say, “no air-conditioning”. Second, expect little privacy when there is an upcoming event (the is hotel popular with weddings). At 7am, the maintenance starts – leaf blowers, high pressure water cleaners, people coming in and out of the shed (located right next to the tents). If you are there to relax. Good luck – you will be woken up early in the morning. My colleague had maintenance workers fixing her apartment in preparation of the arrival of the weekend wedding guests. Why wasn’t this done before? Third, there was a stale/musty smell in Tent 1. It was either the bed sheets or quite possibly something died under the tent. It was honestly horrible. Fourth, apart from the pool there is nothing else in the resort. No gym. No bar/restaurants. This was a minor issue, and we knew this when arriving – however, it would have been nice to be supplied other things like toiletries. Lastly, on check-in we were immediately told to always lock up rooms because "a bunch of kids roam the streets at night and burgle apartments – usually stealing car keys and wallets”. Even if this is true, rather than scare the hell out of guests, why not fix the problem? 24-hour reception? Even a gate around the complex? Anyone can walk into the complex and we could not see a single fence around the property. My colleague felt particularly unsafe, with no lighting around her apartment. My tent was locked by a padlock, however, all you needed was a pair of scissors to get inside. Anyway, the pool was fine, and the staff were reasonable. I am probably being unfair in my assessment – but being located in the tropics you would expect air-conditioning, and for the price, cleanliness.

We have just returned from an eight day stay at The Billi Resort and it was truly magnificent. The property itself is green and lush and I felt like I was in a tropical oasis. I loved the pool and the staff were so kind to let us use it on the first day prior to check in as we arrived in Broome at 10am. After my first hour poolside, I was starting to feel the busyness of Perth falling away. It is impossible not to laying around that pool! We stayed in a queen glamping tent which was so fun and made the holiday feeling like an adventure! The air con was fantastic as it is still quite warm in Broome and I loved finishing the day in our totally deluxe bath. The outdoor shower was also such a treat! Nothing like watching the trees and insects while showering! The kitchen was fitted out with everything we needed and we appreciated the coffee machine in the mornings. We were lucky enough to use the newly arrived electric bikes. At $35 a day, it was a no brainer as they gave us so much freedom to explore. We rode down to Cable Beach and into town to the Mangrove one night and the great thing, it wasn't hard work on those little babies! We loved them. The staff were very accomodating and generous with our requests and we felt very looked after and at home. So if you are thinking about Broome and want a unique, tropical and all round fabulous holiday, choose The Billi ❤️

We stayed in one of The Billi Resorts villas. Clean, air conditioned with fully equipped kitchen. Rachael and the staff here were super friendly and available if needed. The pool was fantastic with sun beds, umbrellas and big bean bags to relax on. The location was great for Cable Beach, the airport and the town. Would recommend using the car hire at the resort or hiring a car for your whole stay as Broome is spread out. During our visit we did the early morning camel ride, dolphin tour, dinosaur footprint boat tour, sunset cinema, visited the Crocodile Park, local markets and many a sunset on Cable Beach. Book up early to avoid missing out. Would love to visit Broome again!!

Liked · The pool area is very nice. The vegetation there and throughout the resort is terrific. The villa was big and the air conditioning effective and reasonably quiet. The kitchen and crockery were great. Disliked · The floor of the villa was not very clean. The totally open shower design meant the bathroom floor always had a lot of water on it. We had to keep all of the blinds closed in the living room and kitchen as their windows are right on/ facing a footpath. There is not a lot of shade over the pool.
