Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had enjoyable 6 and 2 night stays at the lodge in twin room shared with a mate. The lodge is a tad dated but the reception staff (eg. Tao) are friendly & helpful and the rooms and facilities are clean. A self serve continental breakfast is included in the price of a room and it is available in the separate shared kitchen room. The lodge is conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk either to the Broome town centre or to the Broome Airport so there's some occasional aircraft noise but it's not a problem so don't let that put you off staying here. The lodge isn't large so it has a relaxed atmosphere with great background music, and also has a good range of shaded seating together with a pool and snooker table. The lodge attracts a mix of guests, including young backpackers, older travellers (like me) and families.Luggage bags can be temporarily stored in a secured room.

I stayed at the Kimberley travellers lodge for my stay in Broome. I found the hostel to be clean, with great facilities including USB charging points at every bed. Breakfast was included daily which was a bonus and it is really close to town.

The atmosphere was extremely open and welcoming and the layout encourages you to meet new people.

Staying at a YHA is always a calculated risk but with accommodation booked out in Broome months and months in advance (not to mention the outrageous prices charged in the dry season!!), I thought I would give it a go. Quite frankly, I’ve been mind-boggled by the amount of lazy, selfish individuals (generally late teens/20-somethings) who just leave all their dirty cups and dishes and empty food and drink containers all over the place as well as the filthy mess they leave the kitchen in. The free breakfast items are left open and uncapped or uncovered on the benches, with used cutlery covered in spreads dumped there for all the flies from the unclosed sliding kitchen door to feast on. The milk/butter is rarely returned to the fridge. They never wipe down the mess they make but generally leave it for others to do. This occurs on a daily basis. I can’t imagine the state of their homes! The one shining light in all this havoc is manager Shaun who is always so kind, helpful and accommodating. Apart from all that, the very basic rooms are fine, if minamilistic, and the shared bathrooms are cleaned daily (thank goodness!). There is free wifi but this doesn’t work in the rooms, even the private ones. I have to say this experience has been an eye-opener to say the least.

The location and rooms are nice. Communal spaces like kitchen, bathrooms, pool, etc. were clean. The staff was unprofessional as they did not regulate the curfew times in the hostel and people were loud even late at night. The room was not clean, there was garbage in corners from previous occupants.
WiFi is not strong and does not reach the first floor or even ground floor rooms.

We stayed here at the start and finish of our tour of the Kimberleys. It’s a great place to stay. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms, we had private rooms both times, comfy beds, fans and air con that worked. A continental breakfast was included.
The communal dining/lounging area is lovely in the central courtyard and it’s very close to everything in central Broome, and a very short walk to the bus to cable beach.
We’d definitely stop here again.

Staff were friendly enough, close to airport, walking distance which was great. Rooms extemely basic especially for $167.00 a night for 2 single beds with share bathroom. The facilities being bathroom, kitchen area & communal dining area were always dirty. So disappointing & pure laziness on staffs part, who were very friendly & enjoyed socialising with everyone but forgot to keep this hostel clean. The kitchen was downright dirty, people just leave their dirty plates anywhere. The fridge apparently is cleaned every week, I find that very doubtful, you could see spilt drink, liquid, yoghurt on inside glass doors which had been there for sometime. The bins outside kitchen were overflowing with rubbish & very smelly, so bad especially in the heat of Broome. Would not recommend.

We stayed here for three nights
It was very average. Not so clean and very noisy
The best thing about the Travellers Lodge is it’s location. It is within walking distance from the airport and if you walk over the ditch you can be in China Town in10 minutes

This is a backpackers. The room was clean and so were the shared bathrooms. The vibe is great because there are beautiful young people all around. There is a beer bar downstairs and there are activities every night. Internet works best in the courtyard, not the rooms. We enjoyed our stay before and after our tour of the Kimberley. The accomodation is within walking distance of the information center, airport, and Chinatown.
