Detailed Reviews
There is nothing wrong with the apartment itself. Nothing too flash and the basics all well covered. The big issue for most people were the lifts. This is a 60 floor building with say 8-10 apartments on each floor. However there were only 3 lifts for the whole building and one of them only had buttons for 9 floors on it, although we did learn that if you punch your floor number in then it will get you to your floor.
If you have a car, then checkout is a nightmare. You need your key to get out of the parking building, as the exit does not open automatically like most parking garages. But the checkout requires that you leave your key on your dining room table. So what you have to do is get your car out of the garage, find a parking space (good luck!), run your key back up to your room (we were on level) 50, and then somehow get out while waiting for 2 or 3 totally full lifts with no space stopping on your floor and you wait until there is one you can get on, which is sometimes 10-15 minutes. To make matters worse reception is on the 33rd floor. You would think that after all this time someone would have figured to have a key drop on the ground floor so you don't have to fight the lifts.
But then again I survived and who knows it may taught me patience!
Other than lifts just fine. No issues plain and simple and very convenient to trams in the free CBD zone.

Travelling as a group this was ideal as the apartments are close to the station to walk to from with your bags. Tram stop out the front, one block to Flinders st to catch the tram to the tennis or Flinders Station for Fed Square or the Arts Centre. Pool, pass on, over heated and chlorinated , not a quiet oasis if there's kids around.
Close to Docklands and the Casino and DFOs, not difficult to walk to.
2 bedroom executive rooms ideal for two people sharing, own bathrooms, kitchen, views are great too. Apartments are comfie and clean but did need a more thorough vacumming , quite dusty in nooks around the place.
Staff are helpful, we'd stay again

OK so I read all the reviews before arriving and honestly I was worried. If there is something negative people comment on it quickly and the good reviews are ignored.
I booked by bookings.com and got a great price for a 2 bedroom apartment in what I consider to be the ideal location in Melbourne. you are within a minute of Trams, buses and Trains.
I questioned parking via the bookings.com website and response was fairly slow so I was about to cancel as all the False negative reviews and the slow response scared me.
The day before we arrived I received a SMS with details on checking in including photos and when I asked a few questions replying to the SMS I would receive a response in seconds.
Checking in was painless the and lovely staff met me and my family at the lift and escort me to the office to finalize the paperwork, collect keys and direct me to the car park at the rear of the building. Staff where super friendly and everything was good . I read someone complained about bond which was $100/night, I travel around the world regularly pre Covid for work and that is on par with everywhere I normally stay.
The Room: we had a 2 bedroom apartment on the 63rd floor, lifts where fast and the room was great. the kitchenette and bathroom where spotless. the beds & pillows where very comfortable the tv had Netflix and Wifi was nice at 50/20mbps with 19ms latency so perfect for anything you wanted to do. The couch was comfortable and the views where some of the nicest in Melbourne. The floors especially under the bed needed a clean but if someone else hadn't of complained I never would of looked under the bed and the bed them self where super clean. only other thing was a couple of door stops where missing their rubbers and there was a bit of plaster missing in the corner of one of the rooms. However these are minor complaints and there is a vacuum in the room.
having a family of four we accumulated a fair bit of rubbish and the bin in the room is tiny, however at the lift which you use regularly there is a garbage shoot select recycle or waste and its all gone so no need to pile up any rubbish and you can keep the room as tidy as you keep your home.
the pool, spa, sauna and gym are on Level 33, I can't comment on the gym as i'm not a gym type of person but the pool, and spa where awesome and kept the kids happy on the hot days.
Check out was super easy you just leave the keys on the table and lock the door or in my case I needed them to exit the car park and you ring the reception as you drive out and they meet you at the carpark exit and collect keys.
The Building itself is residential apartments but looking around i'm guessing about 75% are rental apartment ran by 3 different companies. every person we interacted with in the pool area was staying as an apartment guest and everyone seemed happy.
My family and I holiday in Melbourne at least once a year and we will be back. The Value for money is amazing and I couldn't be happier.
Now before you complain look at the price you are paying, don't expect the penthouse at the Hilton if your paying for the basement at the Holiday Inn.

We booked a 2 bedroom riverview @ $550.00 per night. Thinking it will be lovely, on arrival discovered that our room was very unclean. Evident that the floors hadn't been vacuumed or mopped, hair everywhere, carpets dirty, hand prints over walls and windows, dead bugs on window seals, dead bugs squished into the ceilings, kitchen cupboards had food / drink spills, drawers not clean just felt dirty overall. Sink missing the drain plug, tiling on balcony not grouted. This isn't what you would expect in Melbourne city for $550.00 per night. I requested to change rooms but was advised non available, so we had to leave our hotel room and wait for cleaners to come back. They did an okay job it was better but still lots to tend to. It needs a proper clean. I emailed the hotel several times to complain and not had any response. I wouldn't stay here again. They either need to up their standard for rate they are charging, or reduce the charges for lower standard hotel.

Probably one of the worst accomodations I’ve stayed at. Not only are the staff rude and uninterested in their guests but the whole apartment is disgusting. I stayed for 4 days and when we first walked in, the apartment was a mess. Stained couches and carpets, dirty towels, yellow stained sheets and dirty blankets - I was put off. Asked for new towels, and was told there was no one in the building to bring them to me. Had to wash the towels and dry them, but the dryer was broken, had them drying for 2 hours for them to still be soaking wet. Dirty glassware and dishes, a stained dirty floor and dust for days. Clearly there is no one following a Covid Sanitation and cleaning process. Asked to speak to a manger and was met with a rude worker who kept stating that the manager would not speak to me or resolve my issue due a negative review I placed on the booking website, so clearly this apartment is more concerned with their image than their customers.
Overall this apartment was a waste of money, on top of the expensive price, I had to purchase cleaning supplies just to ensure that I could actually stay in that dirty apartment for 4 days.
Also, was told that the facilities were out of use, so why advertise a pool, spa, gaming room etc if you can’t use it? Actual joke.

I booked the “hotel” at Docklands, I received a text directing me to 568 Collins St to check in. At reception I informed the staff my booking is for Docklands, they advised me they managed both premises but did not apologise or offer compensation for the stuff up. My stay was for two nights they offered me one night where I had booked and the other at 568 Collins St, however it was after 5:30 pm and we were tired, coming directly from work so we took the room they offered us. Next they told me I had not paid, fortunately I had a screen shot of my receipt from the bank, then “bingo” just like magic they found my payment. We had booked the sauna from 6:30 - 8:00pm, to access the sauna, you have to go down to the lobby and speak to the building manager, who does not work for Winston Apartments, he will let you into the pool/gym/sauna area. Once we were let in, we found the sauna had been booked by another couple, this was due to a clerical error by the reception staff, who had not specified sauna, instead listed pool area. Then there’s the room, at reception they were quick to take a refundable cleaning/damage bond, upon arrival we found the garbage bin stuffed full of the previous occupants rubbish, sitting in the cupboard. The toilet seat was loose, the carpet stained, wooden architrave in the bathroom rotting, one smoke detector missing, the door to the “balcony” did not seal(cold air came in constantly) and it was noisy. DO NOT STAY HERE... the only thing these people care about is getting as much of your money as possible, even if that requires lying to your face.

This is not a real hotel. They advertise as a hotel but its a residential apartment complex. They pretend and miss lead and I knew something was up because their "reception" is in an apartment on level 33 not round floor. This is just a glorified airbnb setup and I can see that the residents aren't pleased that we are short term stayers and using their facilities. A terrible experience. Stay away from these operators. They are dodgy.

The apartment is clean and conducive. Furnished tastefully and complete. The washing machine serves us well.
Location superb, the free tram stop is just in front of the building and made access to shopping centers, train station, bus terminal easy and fantastic.
There are eateries at walking distance. Lift to the apartment is quick and not crowded. If come to Melbourne again, this will be my choice of stay and i highly recommend.

The service I received over the phone regarding a booking I had made was promptly attended to and without fuss. Both reception staff and the manager on duty were wonderful in their dealings. 10/10 for service! When staying in Melbourne again I will definitely been seeking out this property 09/09/2022
