The room was extremely small but clean and neat for a quick so visit for the weekend. No wifi unless you go sit in the lobby which was annoying. Close to everything in cbd Overall a good budget hotel. Would stay again

Great location secure and well priced. Room was small/compact but tidy, with basic amenities only stayed one night suited our purpose. It is one of the best positioned hotels in the CBD. We would stay there again but if more than one night we will be requesting a larger room.

Single night stay in the CBD to see a show at Her Majesty's Theatre. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Friendly reception staff. We received a key each so we could come and go. The only low was that the shower was just a cubicle separated by a curtain - not in a separate room, although thankfully the loo...

The location was great. So central and just across the road from the wonderful Block Arcade. The room was small but had the basics covered. Bit strange having the shower in the room with just a shower curtain but not really a problem. The double bed had a bunk on top and it was very easy to hit your head...

This is a great location, one block from Federation Square, 2 minutes to the centre of the Melbourne shopping district. We did purchase a budget room for one night although if we were to have stayed more then the one night it was just to basic missing a few items that would make your stay more comfortable, like Clock Floor...

Stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. I found a long black hair on the sink when I got into the room. I Have to turned left out of the lift on the 6th floor ,turned right after a few steps and then turned left to get to my room. I got myself familiar with the exit in...

The access to this hotel is via a galvanised iron lined corridor off the street which I would be a little nervous about late at night, and then via a lift to the 1st floor. Booking in was quick with friendly staff and we found our room which faced the street. Corridors are narrow and the room very small but...

We stay there for 2 nights. The reception service was very good and they let us into our room already at 1pm. The location is perfect. The room size was good. We had a fridge, tea and coffee facility and a big TV screen. On a down site, there was no door to the bathroom, just a shower behind a...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
