We stayed here twice for our recent family trip to Melbourne and what a relevation it was! To be frank, we did not have high expectations given our experience with Australian hotels in the past but this ticked all the boxes...and some. Super responsive reservation team, seamless communication, and the most kind, warm and helpful staff from the "night manager" to the reception folks. Travelling with our special needs, high-anxiety young man has always been a hit and miss affair despite all the prep work but we could see how he immediately felt at home with the clean, bright rooms (especially the immaculate bathrooms). Kudos to the hardworking housekeeping team - one of the cleanest rooms we've ever encountered from all our travels! The Molton Brown toiletries also added a touch of luxury.

The apartment was spacious (the pictures didn't do it justice!). All our special requests were considered with kindness and empathy and followed through such that we need not repeat ourselves. To the other adults, the stay was also an "experience" - being housed in a gorgeous historical building yet furnished with all the modern amenities needed. The washer and dryer were a huge blessing and relief for our needs - always great to head home with a luggage of clean clothes ( : Love the personal touches and the fun, sassy details (Rubiks' cube challenge, first Netflix hotel anyone?) in the room which added personality and spunk and made our overall stay so memorable.

Location was also perfect - in the heart of CBD and within walking distance to many attractions, with tram stops literally at our doorstep. Yet being in the financial district, was relatively quiet and peaceful in the evenings. Our second stay was on the third floor and there were some noise from the trams and streets compared to our first which was on the 7th floor. But they didn't really bother us. Added bonus: an IGA next door to stock up on snacks and simple groceries.

All in all, a fantastic stay that surpassed all our expectations. Will not hesitate to book again the next time we are in Melbourne.

Not expensive for the size of room and complimentary breakfast, with all day snacks and drinks available whenever required, to enjoy in comfort around the mezzanine level overlooking the foyer.

Even on our arrival, after a very long haul flight from England, we were told we could go rest up on the mezzanine and partake of a late breakfast, and help ourselves to whatever we liked, as our room wasn't quite ready ~ we were quite early.
We hadn't really earned a breakfast yet, so we thought that was a very nice touch.

The front bar/restaurant gets a bit noisy around lunchtime and evening, but the rest of the time it's a pleasant resting spot to ease those tired legs and feet after taking long walks around the CBD.
Also between 4 and 6, cheese and wine is offered free of charge including crackers, bar snacks etc. Very nice idea.

The staff are ever helpful and pleasant.

The apartment room was very reasonably priced, was equipped with a very comfortable sofa, large coffee table, kitchenette with microwave, small hob and sink. All equipment for prepping and eating uncomplicated meals.

It's good to have a proper sized sink and drainer to wash your cups and glasses in, rather than in a usual hotel room, where you're having to wash them in the bathroom sink ~ which isn't pleasant.

The bathroom has a washing machine too and plenty of surface space for toiletries.

TV has Netflix, which is good.

All in all a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Thank you all.

We booked direct through the website which gets you some privileges... free breakfast and extra wine as a sundowner!

Our loft apartment was, confusingly, on the first floor. The lower level had a kitchenette with microwave, dishwasher, fridge and kitchen sink (no hob), a dining area and sitting area and a toilet. Upstairs was a large bedroom and a bathroom with a washer-dryer in it.

Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and soap powder for the washing machine are provided. As are basic coffee, tea and coffee capsules for the Nes machine. There’s a small supermarket near the Queen Street entrance so you can self cater easily.

We were attending the tennis and it was an easy walk to the tram to get to the AO.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent 2 nights here following a 12 night Celebrity cruise. We got the best value by booking about 6 months in advance and booking direct online. Everything was perfect. We arrived at 10 AM on a Saturday, and our room was of course not ready but they stored our luggage and delivered it to the room later...meanwhile, they invited us to the mezzanine where we found most of the breakfast hadn't yet been put away. Between breakfast and 7 PM there were pastries, nuts, pretzels, cookies, soda, water, coffee, yogurt, etc. During wine hours, there were really nice cheeses and crackers. The King One BR #201 in the main building was huge, and we could have moved in as is for a month. It was right next to the elevator, but quiet. The A/C worked great on a hot day. There were 4 USB ports and 2 big TVs. There was even laundry detergent, but I was afraid to use the complicated combination W/D in case the clothes didn't dry, since we had to fly home to USA after 2 nights. I'm sure the staff would have helped us figure it out if we had more time. I didn't notice until we chevked in that there is a 1.7% surcharge if you use a credit card, but many local restaurants also have these surcharges.
More info for visitors: Uber works well in Melbourne and is available at the port and airport. I found a link to Paris Cat Jazz Club on the website, and attended a wonderful Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong tribute just 4 blocks from the hotel. The HOHO bus is about a 20 minute walk away at Federation Square, and for about $30 AUD you can get a 24 hr pass for both the city and St Kilda routes....fantastic!...with clever planning you can take advantage of both routes. We found wonderful arts and crafts sunday markets on the St Kilda Esplanade and at the Arts Plaza across the river from Federation Plaza. Victoria Market is fun to see and for street food (or serious grocery shopping) but they mostly sell junky goods. Restaurants have table service, but at pubs you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The area around the hotel was mostly closed on the weekend , but after long days touring, we were happy with our casual hot meals at Irish Times and Sherlock Homes around the corner.

We booked for 4 nights but due to health problems only stayed for 2 .
We were upgraded to a King Suite307 and it was amazing
The apartment was spotless ,with a massive bedroom and bathroom and a lovely sitting, dining and kitchen downstairs
We were supplied with top quality Molten Brown Bathroom supplies and generous coffee and tea in the kitchen along with bottled water
Breakfast was included and it was generous ,plenty of choice and a hotel toaster that actually worked
Available all day on the mezzanine is free drinks and snacks for guests and between 4 and 6 pm free wine and nibbles
Staff were really great ,a special mention to the lovely young man who greeted us each day for breakfast along with the reception staff.
I found this hotel by chance as my regular Melbourne hotel was booked out but this is where I will be staying for all future breaks in Melbourne .Loved it

This was our fist experience in an aparthotel and it proved to be a rewarding one. The room was beautiful and the bed was really comfortable. It is interesting that the room servicing is only undertaken every third day but that saves on unnecessary linen changes and was not disadvantageous.
The included breakfast was beautifully presented and offered a good choice of cooked and continental breakfast options. Another aspect we particularly enjoyed was the daily inclusive "Wine Down" between 4-6 p.m.. Maybe if it it was available with an hour later start and finish it would be ideal but that is a minor point.
The central location is great and ideal for exploring the CBD as well as being a good base for wider ranging excursions

We would definitely recommend

We were impressed from start to finish. Pre-stay emails were answered promptly. All members of staff we met were friendly and efficient. Check out time was flexible.
Our King Balcony room was comfortably furnished and offered lovely views of nearby heritage buildings and modern skyscrapers. The kitchenette had a microwave, cooking utensils and tea and coffee provisions.
The mezzanine floor is beautifully decorated, with comfy chairs and delightful little knickknacks. The set up was very covid safe. Hand sanitisers, wipes and multiple serving tools were readily available and constantly replaced. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, had the usual options: bainmaries, a selection of bakery items and cereals and also a pancake machine. All offerings were regularly replenished by the multi-tasking staff members. There was a good selection of snacks to enjoy throughout the day. The evening “wine down” included a very nice sparkling wine.

King Heritage suite was comfortable, plenty of room and clean. Found reception staff, the included breakfast and the afternoon wind down all excellent. We will be making this hotel our preference for future visits. Just to mention a couple of possible minor improvements which would be good although they weren’t really a hassle....Signage into hotel through the ‘noisy’ restaurant is not ideal and nor very well signed...we found it difficult to find. Would also be helpful if instructions on how to use washing machine in the room was included. I needed to use it however didn’t know how. Also would have been good to be told and shown how to use our room tag in order to activate lift......the doors closed and lift didn’t go anywhere and as someone who has lift fear and who doesn’t use lifts often, I panicked! We loved our stay with The Treasury though and definitely staying again!

Wonderful stay. Friendly and accomodating staff. We stayed in a spacious 2-bedroom apartment on level 8, which was clean, quiet, fully equipped, with 2 bathrooms and a lounge area. Washer/dryer in one of the bathrooms, which was very convenient. Fantastic location on Collins Street. We asked for daily housekeeping (need to request, otherwise done every 3 days). Breakfast and all-day snacks included in the room rate. Limited hot breakfast and good range of continental items. Undercover private parking available just behind the hotel for a very reasonable extra charge ($31 for multiple entries/exits).

Room service?
Answer from ToC
Melbourne, Australia5 contributions
Although we don't offer room service our guests can place orders at the restaurant located on the ground floor (Monday - Saturday) or order from a food delivery service and collect their orders from hotel reception. There are a host of food delivery services operating in Melbourne such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo and these are growing in popularity. All of our rooms include a kitchenette and there is a supermarket located next year so there is also the option to self-cater.
