We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment in the Conder tower. The location was great, lovely view. The apartment layout was fantastic but it was really tired. Needs a complete repaint (patches and marks over all the walls) and new carpets (stains and lots of wrinkles and lumps). The apartment had all the basics covered though and apart from the wear and tear, were clean.
The windows however were really dirty and the balcony also wasn't very inviting. Lots of dirt under foot.
The staff were amazing, friendly and very accommodating and helpful. The rooftop tennis court (at the Sebel) were awesome...beautiful area including some bbqs.
The indoor pool at Conder was fantastic especially since we hit some rainy days but PLEEEEEASE, turn down the chlorine. It was way too strong. They don't have it anywhere near that strong at my local pool!! Our eyes stung for 2 days after, earrings turned black and bathers lost colour. It really was bad.
The gym was great, very well equipped and in good working order.
Thank you!

I was expecting a hassle free easy stay being a 1night stay business trip.
My first surprise checking in was that someone in my office had made a key error booking 2 rooms having been told I had 2 rooms booked, I advised no the stay is just for myself, the staff member wasn't much help regards this, unfortunately this is yet to be resolved if possible being a a accor member.
Then having a car to pay $30 for 1night is OTT.....
I hastily get back in the car progress to the carpark front entrance, not informed I needed to get out and use the fob to open gate I'm sitting there wondering wtf.
I called reception and the staff member comes out to let me in.
Upon dropping off my luggage I head back down to reception asking if a barber was located anywhere near by, I was informed just down the street 2blocks.
I searched high and low couldn't find it, I went into the IGA located near I was searching and asked them, they had no idea so I wondered why so.
In haste due to having to attend a function that evening I gave up.
All in all was a stressful time, I won't be staying at this location again.

Dear maurice679, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay, although we are very sorry if your experience was stressful and disappointing. There used to be a hairdresser nearby but they closed down a couple of months ago; our Guest Service team should have been aware of this, I do apologize for the inconvenience caused. I believe our Reservation Supervisor contacted you regarding the double booking and that an agreement has been found. We look forward to seeing you again for a far more pleasant stay. Warm regards Florence Hairie

I have stayed here once before but in the residences side and never had to use the facilities as was with a group. This time travelling alone I did not realise the restaraunt was only open for breakfast and lunch and no bar. Being a Monday & Tuesday night not much was open around the location so ended up in a local convience store not ideal. Room was OK but other hotelshave taken to wrap the \tv remote controls due to Covid this one was cleary quite dirty.
Next time will be booking in the centre.

This was my family's third stay in a Sebel Residences Docklands 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with balcony and water view. Very reasonably priced compared to others we've stayed in previously, yet it feels like an indulgence - excellent quality, spectacular view of harbour & city lights, clean, spacious, comfortable, well appointed, great amenities including self-catering kitchen/dining & lounge, conveniently located near free tram line. Plus supermarket and bottle shops a short walk away. Good dining options along the Promenade. Helpful reception. Had previously enjoyed some breakfast discount in the cafe (which was amazing value) but this has discontinued (perhaps due to COVID19 tougher times). Overall, a very pleasant experience & well suited for a family holiday. We will stay there again.

My husband and I have 2 high needs children and never get any time away together. We planned a weekend away at great difficulty as needed to organise carers for our children etc so it was a big deal to us. We booked this hotel because we really wanted somewhere that had a pool and spa and nice facilities ...we also upgraded to a room with “a harbour view”which ended up being on the 1st floor and mostly a view of the laneway and the dumped shopping trolleys!! We were told that due to CoVID we would need to book a time to use the pool and spa so we called the day before and were booked in. Upon arrival we were told we would need to show security our photo ID to use the pool and we were taken around to security.. turns out the room we were booked into has been blocked from using the hotel facilities as the person who owns the room hasn’t paid their body corporate fees!! I’m sorry but we paid full price for a room at the Sebel Hotel. This should not be our problem and is false advertising! We were never told that we were booking a privately owned room. We thought we were booking a room at The Sebel Hotel! The staff were very apologetic and tried to book us into another room but claimed the hotel was fully booked and security were not going to budge. Staff gave us a bottle of wine and free parking but really this was totally unacceptable and ruined our relaxing weekend away as all we could do was sit in the hotel room and watch tv which we can do at home for free (and at least we have Foxtel!) !! I made the mistake of opening the door to the dishwasher and it smelt like off milk so the room then stank! The hotel states it’s non smoking but the room also smelled of smoke. As far as we are concerned this whole experience was false advertising on the hotels behalf and if we knew we couldn’t use the hotel facilities we would not have booked there and we certainly won’t book again.. that’s if we ever get a chance to get away again. Very disappointed at the hotel. It might not be a big deal to ppl who get the opportunity to go away often but when this is a one off opportunity it’s extremely upsetting.

Positives: friendly enough staff at the counter, Tram stop very close.

Negatives: Dirty filty floor! cleaning was very substandard, the last occupants rubbish and tags with his name on it along with a drug substance bag left on the ground under the sofa. Housekeeper said she would send someone to clean. After 4hrs of been out the room to allow them to clean, returned to see the filth had still not been done. Asked to move rooms and told the hotel was completely full. There was a constant beeping that continued for the 3 days of our stay. The fire alarm was disconnected which we originally thought where the beeping was coming from. The price for a harbour view is very expensive with actually nothing to see just a small harbour of boats moored. The city view I believe would have more excitment. Parking $30 a night which in some cities is good but for the dead end part of melbourne its rather expensive. I belong to Accor which is a paid membership with this hotel chain and with many other Accor hotels in Melbourne thats where I would go rather than wasting large amounts of dollars to a hotel that is too far from everything and dirty filthy.

We spent four nights at the residences over new years in a one-bedroom apartment with water view.
Overall, our stay was mixed, there are some great things about the hotel and some items which were quite poor.
So good stuff first, location is great, quiet end of Melbourne, with tram stop in the free tram zone outside the door. Easy access to a supermarket (5 or so mins walk) and several restaurants close by (hotel has no restaurant). The residences are in several residential buildings (not in the main building), and the view is outstanding especially on New Year's Eve. Balcony was excellent.
But... there are some negatives which can be easily remedied.
We arrived at the hotel and were told the room was not ready, would be 30 mins, not an issue as we wanted to get a late lunch, returned 90 mins later and still not ready, "we are short staffed and fully booked so there is a delay" so again left and retuned 30 mins later, and checked in which was cumbersome. As a guest this is not my problem, don't sell the room if you can't service (also heard this excuse given to another guest when checking out four days later)
My Accor Diamond status was not recognized.
Apartment furniture was cheap, stained and in some cases broken.
Blind in the lounge was filthy and broken.
Wooden floors in the apartment were scratched with black marks and dirty.
Missing detergent and tea towel to wash up and only one bin bag (??)
Blind in bedroom let in a lot of light.
Breakfast included which is served at a local cafe, so bad that we bought breakfast from the supermarket after the first morning.
With a few fixes and some attention to detail in cleaning, this could have been a great stay!

This is convenient to get to from the trams/Skybus/Southern Cross station and the studio was reasonably comfortable BUT
We always travel with special clip together cutlery - a gift from our daughter - we left the forks on the sink to wash and house keeping threw them away but did not take away the two empty cans and one bottle which were rubbish. When I complained I think the bloke on the desk thought it was a bit of a joke. The housekeeping manager was supposed to call us but of course they have not. They will be very hard to replace.
The bed had just one rather flat pillow each so had to try to use hard couch cushions which was not very successful. The air conditioning in the lounge room broke down in hot weather which was not comfortable. We hung up our towels as directed to say we would be 'green' and not waste energy but they took them and replaced them anyway.
We are Platinum Accor members - won't be staying there again!

This is the second time we have stayed here. Last time we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment & this time we had a studio apartment. Rooms are clean, spacious & well appointed including a stove, oven & full size fridge. Bed is very comfy. Staff are friendly & helpful.
Apartments are in a great position with a tram stop across the road, walking distance to restaurants & a convenient stop that also sells alcohol opposite the front entrance.
We have stayed both times to go to the Australian Open tennis. The No 70 tram takes you straight though to the tennis centre& it is free. The No 86 tram takes you to the Bourke St Mall & shopping precinct.
We have stayed in Melbourne CBD before but have found that the Docklands area is a much better & quieter area to stay in.
We will book the Sebel Residences for any future trips to Melbourne.

Dear Kerryn T, Thank you so much for your regular patronage and for your kind review. It’s wonderful to hear that this time again you loved your stay. The Docklands are a little bit tucked away, but it is indeed very easy to go anywhere in the city with the free tram at our doorstep. It’s the perfect home-base to explore and experience Melbourne! We can’t wait to see you again. Kind regards Florence Hairie

The apartment had amazing views and the location was central to access all area's of Melbourne. Your staff member Varum went above and beyound to make us welcome and ensure the apartment met our needs. He even returned to us late at night with another set of keys. Outstanding service from this employee.

There is one indoor pool and it is a lap pool. They advertise it to be 25m long, I think it is more like 20m, but either way it is great for swimming laps, but not really a play pool for kids.
