Crown Promenade Melbourne stands out for its central location, which guests love for the proximity to local attractions and transport. The hotel's amenities, including the pool and dining options, are generally well-received, though some guests have called out issues with minibar charges and dialed-back services like room service. While many travelers commend the friendly staff, experiences with service quality are inconsistent. The hotel's cleanliness is usually praised, but there are mentions of the need for updates and deeper cleaning. Room views are a highlight, yet several travelers find the rooms outdated and not providing good value for the price.

The hotel hit all points for a pleasant stay. The location is superb. The staff was professional and welcoming. The room and the public areas were spotless. The bedding allowed for excellent sleep quality, there were even two kinds of pillows and one was fitting to the way I sleep. The desk was highly functional for work. The bathroom and shower were spacious. There is no in-room service but that is a minor downside as there are dozens of restaurants within very short walking distance. Overall, can't go wrong with it (also considering the room rate).

Hotel was fantastic. It was close to the river which is lined with bars and restaurants. Its about a 15-20 minute walk to Fed Square and that puts right by one of the gates for the AO. Room its self was clean the towels and bathroom was exceptional. the view from the 22nd floor was awesome with a good view of downtown. Checking in was a breeze they sent a text when the room was ready and the concierge desk had the keys waiting for me any my luggage was already in my room. They also had a daily print out available of the match schedule for the tournament. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I plan to stay here next year for the AO. As some of players did as well as the cars shuttled players from the tennis facility to the hotel.

We returned to the Crown Promenade for our second visit and stayed in a studio room. This was a lovely big room with panoramic windows from the room and bathroom. The large bed was very comfortable and the walk in shower was great with super soft fluffy bath robes and slippers provided.
The hotel boasts a lovely infinity pool and large Jacuzzi as well as a sauna and steam room in the changing rooms. This hotel is well situated with direct access to the Southbank via the casino. It has a lovely big, bright and airy bar where you can get bar snacks as well as a large range of drinks. The restaurant was excellent with a buffet breakfast that has everything you could want. All the staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful and went out of their way to acknowledge you and smile. Reception was quick and easy even when we arrived after midnight. We will be back.

My husband and I stayed at the Crown Promenade for 2 nights on the 24th and 25th April 2021 - ANZAC Day weekend.

From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out - there was not one thing we could fault!

The staff at check in were so friendly. The hotel was so easy to get around. The elevator brings you up to Level 4 of the Casino which was then a short 2 min walk to the hotel lobby. I was very surprised and impressed to see an Espresso Bar in the lobby!

Our room was immaculate. We stayed in Room 2177 on Level 21. When we return, I will definitely be asking to stay in this room again if it is available. The bed and pillows were SO comfortable. We were laying in bed looking out to the ocean watching the sail boats go past The!

The bathroom was AMAZING! The shower was so big, there was a floor to ceiling window in the bathroom (with a full blind if you want it). The toiletries provided were luxurious and smelt beautiful.

There was a full mini bar and stocked fridge with plenty to choose from.

Not only were there hand sanitisers in the elevators, the hotel also provide you with your own personal Crown bottles of mini hand sanitisers in your room together with your own mini packets of hand wipes.

Everything you need is within the Casino. You don't even need to go outside. We have now stayed at all 3 Crown hotels within this Casino and we love them all.

There is not much more I can say other than you have to try it at least once!

I stayed at Crown Promenade across the weekend (6th May - 8th May) in a Studio Room. I typically stay at Crown Towers because it's the "better" option.

But my Studio room at Promenade was cheaper than the cheapest room at Crown Towers, and the service was FAR SUPERIOR at Crown Promenade!

In the past, my first trip to Crown Promenade several years ago was not good, but they have well and truly made up for it,

The room was on the 18th floor and had a beautiful view of the city and Yarra river, I could even see the fire display along it. The room itself was super spacious and tidy, far bigger than what I anticipated it would be. The Studio Room included more bathroom amenities than I previously had seen (tooth brush, tooth paste, cotton tips, cotton pads, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap, tissues)

Room service was usually prompt and food delivered within 25 minutes or less. If you want your room made up, and you aren't in the room - leave the 'make up my room' light on before you leave!

Promenade is connected to the Crown Entertainment Complex so you dont even need to go outside - very close to Village Cinemas, Holey Moley, and restaurants too.

It was a wonderful stay and now I'm looking for an excuse to visit again!

We stayed on the family special which was great value and was available to families with 3 children which is so hard to find.
We booked an additional room which was interconnecting but was not available until 3pm so we were offered late check out the next day which suited us fine.
We were also able to check in a few hours early and the kids enjoyed using the pool while it wasn't crowded.
Between 2-6pm the pool was over crowded and COVID safety was out the window.
The rooms were clean and spacious but some features were outdated.
The water pressure in both showers was very poor and shower head was very small and not able to be adjusted.
You know the shower is bad when your 9 year old complains about it.
It would be great to have a range of density in the pillows as the ones available were very squishy.
Breakfast was offered and kids ate free with full paying adult.
There was a huge range and the food was fresh.
Again I am not sure how COVID safe a buffet breakfast is with many children under 12 dining at the restaurant.
Also check your charges on check out as we were charged $254 for breakfast in error.
The charges were rectified but this was a lengthy process that was difficult for reception staff to work out.
All in all it was an enjoyable stay with lots of inclusions making it great value despite the few minor negatives.
Yes we would stay again if there was a deal for families.

Dear W9162AKamandam, Thank you kindly for taking the time to provide us with this very valuable feedback. I am so delighted to read you felt the family package was great value and you were able to enjoy a few extra hours at the pool - it's definitely the best part! We will certainly continue to monitor our numbers in the pool to ensure safety for our guests is paramount, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your feedback on the water pressure and décor, and will certainly take this on board to review. MESH offer a fabulous breakfast, I'm so happy you enjoyed the fresh range on offer. Thankfully we have covid marshals guiding our guests to follow safe practices and of course all our staff and guests are double vaccinated further protecting our community. I apologies for the error in charge, and glad to hear this was resolved. We will review this process to improve accuracy with our teams so thank you for bringing to our attention. We hope to welcome you and your family back again in the future, no doubt there will be many more family packages on offer to enjoy. Warmest Regards, Amy Trengove Hotel Manager Crown Promenade Melbourne

We recently had a 4 night stay with my partner and our 4 year old son, we were in a standard twin room, firstly the room and amenities.

The room was very well presented, opening the door to the tv on, with their crown promo channel with soft music playing, very clean and tidy, with an amazing view over to St kilda and south bank. Our son loved the view with construction cranes working near by and the trucks on the West Gate Freeway. Even being so close to construction works and busy roads and freeways, we couldn’t hear them.

Well stocked mini bar and fridge, tea and coffee, we had to hide the chocolate and chips from our little one.

Air conditioning and complimentary wifi.

The bathroom and shower was also very well presented, ample supply of toiletries and soft towels. Even had a retractable clothes line.

We used the pool a numerous times, once again clean and tidy, and the attendants were very helpful.

One thing that really stood out, and the best by far we’ve ever come across was the concierge Aries, we couldn’t thank him enough, I know this is his job to help ect, he went up and beyond, even before we had checked in, greeted us and asked if he could take our bags, once checked in our bags were taken to our room.

Aires, thank you so much for your help and advice, just made our trip more enjoyable and comfortable with your knowledge of Melbourne, what trams to catch to different locations, and your suggestions based on experiences gave us the confidence we needed.

Overall, we couldn’t fault anything, perfect location, close to trams and taxis, beautiful restaurants straight over the street, kid’s entertainment all within walking distance, very quiet rooms couldn’t hear anything from above or the rooms next door. Even had an ice machine tucked away in its own room.

Will definitely be returning for our next trip to Melbourne.

This hotel is part of the Crown complex on the south bank of the Yarra. We had a King Corner Room on the 23rd floor. The views were magnificent. The room itself was well appointed and when freak weather caused a minor leak in the shower the hotel dealt with us perfectly. The breakfast buffet is extensive and has a great range of dishes.
The location is good in terms of easy access to Flinders Street station, trams, busses and river cruises.

Really good location. Convenient and central to the Riverwalk, Southbank, DFO and the many restaurant's in the area. Melbourne has come a long way in improving the surrounding area. Its looking fabulous and really love how nice its looking.

The staff are lovely and l can't fault the service that was provided to us.
The room was beautiful and as you would expect, clean, bright, lovely décor, comfortable beds and chairs. Everything worked in the room.

Disliked · When paying top dollar ($600 plus a night) for a corner studio room that mentions having "sweeping views of the city", only to be given a room on the 5th floor which offered a not so nice view of the casino wall across the road - that definitely did not meet my expectation. Unfortunately being the long weekend we were stuck with it!. They did give us complimentary champagne, chocolates and free parking which was nice but it does not make up for the fact that we paid as much as those on higher floors. I really believe that the lower floor studio rooms should be discounted and advertised as such to avoid disappointment.

So my word of advice is that if you choose to pay top $, l would ensure that you are guaranteed a room above level 10 at least.

We booked a corner king suite for the beautiful views and the perceived luxury of Crown. What we got was a room that reeked of stale cigarettes and burnt carpets (non smoking floor). When I asked to be changed we were moved down a floor and across to the other side of the building. Check out the picture.. not the view I imagined for our 10 year wedding anniversary. A giant kfc billboard and an overpass.
