travelling for business and was lucky to get 3 hours sleep. This is not a location for business travel where you require sleep at night. Cant believe I paid for something I never received. I booked using the qantas app and assumed it would be appropriate for business travel. Next time i will read the reviews that would have highlighted...

Hello Perterbl4900NV My apologies for the noise and disturbed sleep experienced during you stay. While we do our best to mitigate this being in the very heart of such a vibrant city as Melbourne it is not always avoidable. I am pleased to let you know however, we are currently in negations with the building owners to have double-glazing installed...

Fantastic location in centre of town, great for shopping, concerts, bars. Very close to trams too. Our room was very quiet, no "city" noise heard. Friendly staff, efficient service. Would happily stay here again.

Location is fantastic, but the amenities and assistance by staff were less than average. We had an issue with our bathroom and after letting them know they told us that someone would look at it. We were not updated and the issue was not fixed throughout the whole trip. Room was not cleaned daily and bathroom was little old and...

Accommodation was in a great location for exploring the Melbourne CBD so I rate the hotel very highly in this regard but we were so disappointed with the level of outside noise in our room at night time. We have stayed in accommodation all over the world and this would have to be the noisest hotel that we have ever...

For the shoppers out there, this is the place you need to be. From the front, you have an emporium, with H&M greeting you every morning. At the left, you have Myer that's afraid that you'll miss it. On the right, you have a string of cafes and eateries waiting for you. At the back, you have a proper shopping...

This hotel location is perfect, rooms are spacious and have everything you need, very quiet and beautiful beds. Most importantly the staff are so friendly and have great knowledge of the city and surroundings. This hotel has become my favourite melbourne destination. Only thing is wifi costs a fortune!!

This was a great central location and suited us because we were traveling by train with a child. It was a good size for a couple with 1 child. Great access to the free tram zone. Roof top deck bit tired but very nice at night.

The hotel was in an awesome location for shopping. The bedrooms were very small but not that it matters right. Bathroom was as clean as you could possibly get it with the broken floor tiles and the the fitout being over 20 years old. for the price and location it was definitely good value.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
