My family and I stayed in a 2-bedroom unit to watch some of the Australian Open tennis. Good location but very odd room layout (room 1906) as one bedroom had no window and both bedrooms lacked any free power point outlets beside the beds. There's only one reverse cycle air conditioning unit in the living room to provide ventilation for the whole unit. As a result, closing the bedroom doors at night meant for an uncomfortable sleep due to overheating. The hotel advertises they have public transport Myki cards available but had run out when I asked. Surely they would've known they had none left and could've gotten more?! Twice we saw bugs, either a cockroach or a grasshopper. The concierge and staff were very friendly and helpful. I expected more given the price, but that was probably also due to high demand during the tennis busy period. Still, I won't be coming back here.

Arrived in Melbourne early morning dropped off our bags at the Pegasus where we have a 1 night stay. 2 hours later they rang me to upgrade us to a 2 bedroom apartment which was fantastic. The room was very quiet, bed was so comfortable and best of all the air conditioning actually cooled down the room plus there was also a pedestal fan provided as well, the shower was great plenty of pressure and hot. The grandson and husband enjoyed the pool while my daughter and I enjoyed some beers at the restaurant Brentani which was absolutely fabulous as well. My husband and I usually only stay at 5 star hotels but not anymore. I cannot fault any part of our stay here at Pegasus and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Queen street markets was only a 5 minute walk and there is also lots of other places nearby. We will definitely be making this our go to place when we visit Melbourne again.

We stayed at this apartment for 3 weeks from mid November. Check-in was smooth and front desk staff were helpful. The apartment is within walking distance to many restaurants, Queen Vic market, supermarkets. Housekeeping staff came every day for servicing but missed restocking items so I had phone constantly to get items such as coffee, dish detergent, tissues. The sheets in the bed were made so tightly that it was an effort to loosen it. The bathroom and toilet wasn't cleaned every day. Similarly the apartment wasn't regularly vacuumed, moped or linens changed. The bedrooms were always cold in the mornings as the only heater was in the living area. Blackout blinds were helpful as made the place dark for sleeping. The king sized bed was extremely uncomfortable .. felt we were sinking in them and pillows were soft. We had to phone them a week after we checked out as the deposit we paid hadn't been refunded yet even though we were told it will returned a day after we checked out. The street outside was the building was quite dirty .. rubbish and dog poo was seen regularly. Similarly the common areas in the building should be vacuumed at least twice a day as other guests constantly dropped things.

We had a 3 night stay on a fairly major tour around Australia. We wanted self-catering accommodation and this suited us very well. Good to have washing machines and driers in the building. Not a very imposing outside to the building.

Everything was perfect except for the waitress at the breakfast buffet of Indian origin. Very rude, disrespectful, dismissive and when other patrons told her she was rude she walked over to me and confronted me about what my problem was with her. Unacceptable behaviour

Always love coming back here. Close to public transport, a short walk into the city centre and plenty of options for restaurants and time away. Plus the staff are super friendly and the rooms are clean. Along with some comfy beds. Will be back again soon.

We stay for more than 2 weeks with pegasus. I cant comment that it is a wonderful experience for us. 1. 2nd days of the stay, the house keeping service was lousy, the carpet was not clean properly 2. Few days ago, they missed the room service twice eventhough i did call and i formed multiple times. The reception manager Rowheed explained to me that the guest has to comply to their duty schedule, 😄. This is my first ever encounter of not for the customer first 😄. Very interesting type of service culture here. 3. We extend our stay with pegasus for 4 more days from 19 Aug and paid around $1100. The manager told me to do a recut of the excess cards today, 19 Aug. I have done it this morning. When we are back to hotel ard 2: 30 pm. The room excess cards are not working. We approach the reception counter multiple times and still not working. Now they are checking and found out that the door lock is faulty. 😄 what an experince. Truly, i have never encounter this before 😄. 4. The card sensors of the lifts are not sensitive and have to press multiple times to activate it. 5.....well, think to stop here as we should have a vacation here instead of making nonsense here, wasting my time, all these not suppose to happen in the first place. Last, The receptionist, Mr Thomas, the German guy is GOOD 👍. He is helpful. He tells me something i dont know about German. Although i have not so ok voew with the house keeping, but i do tips the house keeper this morning. 😄😄😄 I think the hotel mgmt should consider refund me for a day at least 😄😄😄

I am a loyal customer and have stayed at this hotel over 30 times. I stay there because it is an apartment hotel, affording space and quiet; also underground parking and a pool which I use daily. The staff are friendly and courteous. However, on this occasion, I was very disappointed from the moment of check-in. I picked up a 'vibe' from the young clerk that my loyalty was not appreciated, with comments like, "You only need one room card, right?" And when I made my usual friendly query of, "Have you got me a nice room?" I was met with silence. The room itself: The heating for the AC didn't work, so the room was cold at all times - it is a Melbourne winter. I was there for three nights. The TV and its remote didn't work properly. The room was situated in an area where mechanical services were audibly humming all through the night, so had to place a pillow over my head to fall asleep. Housekeeping didn't replenish my tea and sugar (that's all I drink) On the morning of my last day, I went to take a shower after my morning swim, and there was no hot water. Literally no hot water. On a previous occasion this year, I came back to my room and thought I'd been burgled, only to discover a note on my bed that read: "Sorry" and my suitcase left beside the apartment door - it turns out that housekeeping hadn't checked to see if I'd actually checked out, which I hadn't - I still had two more nights. So, in their haste, they jammed all my belongings in my suitcase and left it at the door. I'm an easy going busy client - I come to Melbourne on business frequently and we pay Pegasus good money for a level of service and attention to detail that has sadly diminished. If I want to experience issues that I've described here I can easily book myself into a 1-star hostel. But, I don't. Sorry, Pegasus A'part Hotel, unless you can respond to this review demonstratively, in other words, a guarantee of 10-star service for my loyalty going forward, you have lost me as a client.

Dear AussieSwimmer, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay with us. As a loyal customer who has stayed with us 32 times, your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us and we deeply regret your experience did not meet your expectations this time We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you faced during check-in and for any miscommunication that may have occurred. Rest assured, we value your loyalty, and we will address this matter with our team to ensure a more welcoming and attentive service. Further training is obviously required with our young team members. Regarding the issues with your room, the heating, TV, and mechanical noises, we are truly sorry for the discomfort caused. We are investigating these matters immediately to ensure they are resolved promptly and effectively. Your feedback about housekeeping oversight is deeply concerning, and we are taking immediate steps to reinforce our processes to prevent such incidents from recurring. The lack of hot water was a problem with the entire hotel that particular morning and our maintenance team was alerted to this in the morning and fixed it immediately. I have been living in the building for close to 2 years and this was the first time we had an incident with not hot water and I had a cold shower that morning so I can fully understand it was not ideal on a cold Melbourne morning. In regards to the previous incident it was a mistake by our Housekeeping team and I was under the assumption from our team that while it was an unacceptable incident from our team that you were happy with the resolution. Please know that we are taking these matters very seriously and will be implementing measures to prevent similar situations in the future. We are committed to providing a fantastic experience to all our guests, especially to our valued regular customers like yourself. Your loyalty means a great deal to us, and we want to regain your trust in Pegasus Apart Hotel. As loyal guest we have always tried to provide you with an upgrade when you have stayed with us. Upgrading you 27 times over the 32 stays and we have always provided a reduced rate for the queen studio at 10% off the Best Available rate. Unfortunately your last 2 stays have been very unsatisfactory. Please be assured that we are taking all necessary actions to address the issues raised in your feedback. We value your business and we are happy after being in contact with you that you will give us another chance to provide you with exceptional service. Kind regards, Stuart Lyall General Manager

If you like a hot spa erupting with volcano-like cascades of water, and a decent length heated lap pool, the Pegasus apartment hotel will deliver. Outside of the wet areas, there's an on-site bar and Italian restaurant, though with the wealth of eateries nearby in the burgeoning Flagstaff district I'd recommend wining and dining elsewhere. Be aware that the studio hotel rooms may have no view at all-except of a dark solid wall. I found my room claustrophobic because of this and asked the front desk for a room move immediately on check in. After being told there were no other studio rooms available with any kind of outlook, I was offered an upgrade to an apartment- at an additional $30 cost. Took up the offer and had a comfortable stay; particularly liked being able to step outside onto a small balcony/terrace and get fresh air into the apartment. Flagstaff gardens around the corner nice spot for morning coffee and late night Woolies only two blocks away.
