I stayed in an eight bed mixed dorm for three nights in February 2018. The room was clean and the bunk bed was comfy. There was a lockable storage cupboard (own lock needed). The location is amazing, right opposite Flinders Street station. Cool decor, great...More
Great place to stay! Friendly and helpful staff! Clean hostel. Wifi is free in common areas. Free walking tour every day, guide pick up from the reseption. Also Peterpans office in the hostel, easy to book next adventure.
Excellent location, good amenities, friendly staff ! Nonetheless, with this price and standing we expect air conditioning in the 8 and 12 dorms ! It was boiling in the room .... couldn't sleep properly despite a good bed and two ventilators. Too bad otherwise would...More
This hostel is in a great location and the breakfast pancakes are a nice touch. But this is by far the most expensive hostel I have ever stayed in and it was definitely not worth the money. The WiFi only works in the reception/basement area...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air
of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.

They're pretty big but honestly most of the ladies in my dorm (ladies only dorm) used them for valuables and left our clothes in our bags by the side of beds it was much easier access. Admittedly less secure and 1 or 2 items of clothing for some ladies went missing but I didn't have a problem. you can always keep ur bag locked too if it won't all fit in the locker.
