Cons : A contender for the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. Just pay the few dollars extra a night and stay somewhere else, or go all out and find a 24hr McDonalds toilet to stay in. The swipe keys work 50% of the time, there were leaking pipes, freezing cold rooms if temperatures ever dropped, the kitchen is overcrowded...

My personal stay was brief and uneventful, the hostel was busy and felt crowded at times. The accommodation were alright, nothing special worth mentioning. The greatest draw was the location, it's right in the middle of Melbourne.

That's definitely one of the worst hostel in which I stayed in Australia! Nobody cleaned the room during the entire week and it was already in an horrible state when I arrived... No need to speak about the kitchen as the sinks are full at the end of the day....

Friendly people and perfect location in city. Just 10 mins from Flinder station, 5 mins from South Cross Station. Good Stuff, The toilettes are really celar, the rooms are a bit cold in a winter time! I spent a nice time!

The place was pretty good, I wanted to do stuff around the CBD and I found it perfect as there was FREE trams everywhere and it was next to southern Cross. The hostel is pretty basic but meet what I needed. Happy for what I paid.

The hostel is in a great location in the heart of the city. Right by Southern Cross Station, easy access to the trams that will lead you all over the city, short stroll to the Yarra River which has such a lovely view of the city at night. The building itself is not fancy or modern, it's an old Victorian-style...

So I checked into Nomads All Nations for a week while staying in Melbourne. The hostel is in a great location which is bang smack in the middle of the CBD. Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and good facilities. I was given a welcome pack which showed me all the good places to see in the city and there...

Myself and a friend stayed here for 3 nights in July of this year. We have been travelling for months and this is the worst hostel we have stayed in. A girl in our room urinated next to our bags stole covers off our beds and was sick in a bin and everything was left, we had to clean it...

Would recommend you stay clear! Its the kind of place you need to wipe your feet on the way out! Price is cheap and I guess you get what you pay for, however I would expect that the rubbish on the window which was there on my arrival would have been moved during my stay. This hostel was the worst...

I can't understand why such place exists. it is very dirty, it smells bad, it is cold, noisy, from another age, nothing is clean. 25$ for that is stealing your money. Sleeping outside in the street is nicer. Staff is nice except managers Free wifi (slow) in the living room. Just don't go there if you can avoid it.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
