The Mantra at 100 Exhibition Street is a terrific facility. It really was a great place to stay - ticking most of the boxes for comfort and ease of access - I am delighted to recommended this city location for business or fun in Melbourne.

Great location, short walk from the tram station, convenience stores and Melbourne CBD. The rooms are large and spacious. The downsides - a lifeless reception, filthy elevators and common areas, old and depressing bathrooms.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The apartment we had was very clean and comfortable. The best thing was the location so close to the Regent Theatre and all the restaurants and shops. Would recommend this establishment to all wishing to stay close in the city.

The hotel is in a brilliant location for the sights of Melbourne and the surrounding area. Trams can caught at the end of the round and central Melbourne is on the doorstep. We had a 1 bedroom department and space was brilliant.

Great apartments, especially the two bedroom apartment for families. We were only on the first floor but traffic noise was minimal and the bed was comfy so sleep was not interrupted at all. We only stayed one night but will definitely return for a longer stay.

I'm in Melbourne for 2 weeks business trip and I was booked here. This is a very good location. Just near the Collin's Street and I considered this location as the center to every destination in main city Melbourne. This is also near to one of the stops of Melbourne Visitor Shuttle an that's very convenient! The rooms are good...

Great location, especially specific to the business I was conducting, clean, well appointed, practical, good value for money. Mine was only a short stay in a modest style suite but fitted my needs perfectly. Free WiFi would be a bonus.

Loved our stay on the top floor overlooking the city and it was quieter up there. The lifts went to the 9th floor and we stayed on the 10th. There was a flight of steps from the 9th to the 10th, which didn't bother us at all - good exercise. The location was perfect for walking to Lygon Street, the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
