The location at the top of the city is great near Chinatown and just a tram to the centre and for us the parking was really handy 24 hour parking for $27 Could use new curtains in bedroom but that's about it 👍

❤️ the location. Staff were accomodating. We had a really good time during our stay. ❤️ the adequate kitchen space. I did ask for the minibar to be taken out the first hour we were there but it was still inside the room even before we left. Our last night in the hotel, noticed that the room not cleaned properlyand...

Needed an overnight venue in the East end of CBD Melbourne and Mantra 100 Exhibition Street was fine. Had the top floor which requires one floor walk up from level 9 , but able to open windows, light and divided into bedroom/en-suite plus separate living-dining/bar captain style kitchen was right on the money. Car parking in basement for another $20...

This apartment provided almost everything we need during our stay. Nice location, good quality and fair price just worth the stay! Only the hood worked a bit inefficiently so it was not easy to get rid of cooking smells.

Dirty windows detracted from the room's ambience and outrageous extra cost for internet access. Otherwise, it is a pleasant enough place and reasonably well maintained. I don't think that we would choose to stay here again given that Melbourne has quite a few apartment hotels.

Not happy The main reason is that I was charged $784.80 and my friend stayed in a similar room for only $550. I don't understand the difference. I was also charged an extra $100 and don't know why. We never used any products and the guys who left after me said they left the room in good order.

Close to everything we needed. Room was a little fusty compared to the room we had last time. There was a constant noise coming from outside somewhere sounded like booming/bass noise maybe from a bar but was still going at 6.30am. Tried earplugs but could still hear the noise. Our room was close to the windows. The people in the...

I do not recommend this place. The location is good, but the room was dirty (ground-in dirt in bathroom corners), they charge for WiFi, and the washing machine didn't work. No restaurant on premises, and the directions to the "magic mountain" associated restaurant were not clear, so I never did get breakfast. Size of rooms were OK. Bed was a...

Great location, clean and had everything we needed, except there was a constant drone noise coming from the wall next to the bedhead, which made sleeping for me extremely hard, so I hardly slept the 3 nights I stayed there. It was only my bedroom though. No free internet was a huge negative - $25 a day for internet is...

Very good but please have some bathrooms with facilities for disabled people. Overall was clean, safe and comfortable . Great towels and pillows. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location I am sorry I don't know what else I should say except that the bathrooms are not disable friendly. My mum hurt her leg three times trying to get into the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
