I booked 2 apartments for the extended family of 9. One is a 3 bedroom sub penthouse and the other is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment at Boyd Building. Both have magnificent city and harbour view and obviously the penthouse has 270 degree view and there are lots of wow factors and it's a perfect luxurious accommodation. Rooms are huge with king beds, furniture feels luxurious and kitchen is well equipped. We can't fault anything on the penthouse.
However, the 2 bedroom apartment does need a bit of TLC. It's clean and functional, but the carpet and furniture do need a bit of update and would be nice if the master bedroom has a king bed rather than a Queen bed.
Location is just perfect, it's close to free Tram station into the city and we were spoiled by choices of cafes and restaurants, shops, cinemas, kids activities nearby.
Staff are all very friendly and accommodation of our requests
We would love to return again, and obviously, we will stay at the penthouse.

Decided to stay in Melbourne in between Christmas and the New Year and these apartments looked a good option.
All was good on arrival although check-in probably took longer than it should. However, this was the only negative for our 2 days. Staff were very pleasant.
We had a studio apartment. Well-appointed and very clean. They had some extras like dishwashing tablets, liquid, powder for the washing machine which was really handy. There were even pods for the coffee machine with extras able to be purchased from reception for $1.
The location is really good, being just outside a tram stop where you can get to the city and back for no cost. Of course, there is Docklands Harbour Town Shopping Centre with a supermarket, restaurants, Dan Murphy’s and Costco not far away.
Car parking was relatively easy and at a reasonable cost.
Will certainly be returning there when next in Melbourne.

We just stayed in a lovely 2 bedroom deluxe waterfront apartment (New Quay 202) along with a second couple. The unit was perfect for this as it had a main bathroom as well as an ensuite off the main bedroom. The 2nd bedroom had already been made up as a king size bed but we believe it can be split into 2 singles for a family. Both bedrooms look at the waterfront. Lyn from Docklands Private Collection manages this apartment. Lyn was very helpful. Firstly their office is within a block of the apartment, has a shop front open business hours (and we think outside hours on request) so key collection is simple and any needs could be addressed easily. We asked Lyn for a second set of keys, which was immediately forthcoming. This is the second time we have rented this particular apartment from her. The living, dining and kitchen space have beautiful waterfront & marina views with dozens of restaurants and convenience stores, along with ice-cream shops below and just out the front of New Quay. Berth and The Cargo Bar(s) are just out front. The free tram gets you into Melbourne Central in a few minutes and Docklands shopping precinct, Costco and Woolworths are within 2 blocks. The Geelong ferry leaves nearby for a great day on Port Phillip Bay. Marvel Stadium can be seen from the unit and the Ice-skating rink are both within 5 minutes' walk. We would thoroughly recommend a stay in this wonderful location.

We have been long-time customers of this business dating back as far as 2013, along with my parents and siblings.
What plays a big part in making your holiday stay and experience is the hotel/apartment in being clean.
We stayed here in the Palladio building for 3 nights in a water/city view deluxe room. The first morning here, I made attention that the shower had a calcium/mould build up and that one of the blinds was ripped and tattered. The following day, a cleaner was sent, but the shower was still in a state of needing repairs given the mould and build-up was too far gone.
I raised another issue with reception that 2 blood smears were found on a blind and presented photos of the blood and the state of the shower as they hadn't received photos that were previously sent. I felt as soon as I mentioned and presented photos, I was being spoken to in an aggressive and condescending manner and being told that the room was clean, Lyn, one of the owners, also agreed that the rooms were old and needing repairs done when scrolling through the photos. However, Peter was adamant that the room was clean and at a satisfactory level.
There was no apology, no offer to clean the room, just asking when we were leaving, and suggesting that the blind needed to come down once we were gone to clean.
This business has always been accommodating and had satisfactory cleanliness, but this stay suggests the level of cleanliness and standards have dropped. Staying with 2 young children, this was definitely disappointing and ruined the overall experience for our Melbourne holiday.
I do not tend to make complaints and am more than happy to acknowledge the previous stays that have been enjoyable in different buildings, but to people considering a stay here you should know the standard of a deluxe apartment in the Palladio is anything but deluxe and to expect a dirty to moderately cleaned apartment that is run-down and in need of repairs.
Unfortunately, our family will be staying elsewhere when visiting Melbourne from now on after our most recent experience.

My husband and I have just had our 5th stay with Docklands private collection . We’ve stayed in one room and two room apartments , we’ve been incredibly impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the apartments , their access to restraunts , shops , galleries , cafe’s and all that docklands and Melbourne cbd have to offer ! Excellent stay for our family of four with 3 and 5 year olds. We stayed for 9 nights and it was perfect for driving out an hour to the farms and zoos and a quick 15min free tram ride to town for shopping and food. There’s a Chinese restaurant downstairs for hot food up to 10pm and a fish and chippy by the river. We drove 4mins (although you can walk) to the District docklands mall behind which has an ice skating rink too. Clean comfy beds and fab view of the Yarra river, there were enough clean towels for everyone, washing up liquid and laundry powder, kitchen utensils and cloths, a good fridge and microwave oven to more than support our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the place. There’s a warm indoors pool too which we wished we had enough time to use. Carpark is $20 a day or so, super convenient with our rental.

We stayed in a 2 Bedroom, 2 bathroom Harbour View apartment. We couldn't decide whether we preferred the view at night over the lights of Marvel Stadium and the CBD or the view of the harbour and marina in the daytime. The apartment was only 100 metres from a tram stop in the free tram zone and you could walk to Woolies, Dan Murphys and an array of restaurants. We couldn't recommend the apartment more to anyone wanting some time in Melbourne.

We had a few hiccups on the way to Melbourne from Brisbane with plane tickets and a delayed/cancelled flight so we’re still frustrated by the morning’s experience. From the moment we entered the office we are greeted with warmth and a genuine smile that really made us feel welcome. We immediately knew we had made the right decision booking with Docklands Private Collection and in an instant the morning from hell had felt a little bit better than it did beforehand. The apartment was private and spacious with a nice clean feeling. Free tram zone made things easy to navigate around the city area and the tram line is so convenient and close to the Docklands precinct. This apartment is amazing, and we loved everything about it, including the location which is perfect and very easy to catch public transport to the city centre. The apartment is large with a good kitchen, dining table, and very comfortable sofas and chairs. There is also a very nice balcony overlooking the Docklands. It was very clean. Had everything we needed. Both bedrooms over the harbour with the larger having a door onto the balcony and a walk in wardrobe. The beds were also very comfortable.
There is a nice swimming pool and sauna which we enjoyed.
We will definitely stay here again. If we were in Melbourne and would highly recommend here.

I initially booked in for a 2 day stay in one of the Soho One Bedroom Apartments & I felt like I'd won the lottery when I was upgraded to an Executive One Bedroom. Views over the harbour from bedroom to living area was certainly an amazing welcome when I opened the door. Loads of room, comfy bed & sofa, full supply of linen, kitchenware & cooking utilities, and everything at the door step, I could not fault anything.

Hi. Their office closes at 7pm on weekdays. Ring and let them know your situation and see what they can do. They have always been very approachable when we have stayed with them. Sorry can't really answer about the taxi as we have had our car both times but the in-laws had a taxi booked by the office for very early in the morning and it arrived when it was supposed to. Hope this helps.
