We stayed at Jasper Hotel for 3 nights and had a great stay. Lovely room with big comfy bed, good sized TV and an amazing shower head. The food was nice and they make good coffee as well. Staff were very friendly including the housekeepers who greeted us in the hallways. The hotel is in a great location and would...

My partner and I recently stayed at this hotel in Feb 2017. We were sincerely disappointed in our stay and it has to be one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. I have emailed all this feedback to the hotel and gotten no response. Our first impression of the hotel was not a pleasant one. The man who checked us in...

Across the street from the Tram, a block from the Victoria Market, situated on Elizabeth street, the center of the CBD (Central Business District). Our room was on the 4th floor, and faced the courtyard so pretty quiet. We never ate in the hotel restaurant because there were so many food options but it looked ok and the prices were...

I thoroughly recommend this hotel. The room I stayed in was on level 2 and was actually a disabled friendly unit, so it was very spacious and extremely quiet! It opened out onto a large atrium that's shared with all other units on level 2. The room was clean, bed very comfortable, staff attentive and friendly and the food in...

This hotel is in prime location if wanting a trip to the Vic market also plenty of restaurants aend fast food outlets close by. With trams at the front door easy access to city shopping. Only drawback is parking although multi decks closeby all eye wateringly expensive 😣

I booked a two-night weekend stay in here because of the location and I liked that they had a room overlooking a courtyard. It was even better than that! The room had direct access to a covered internal courtyard in the heart of Melbourne's CBD with outdoor table and chairs, lawn and plants. Absolutely fantastic. While the room was a...

This is a perfectly adequate hotel for a short break at a reasonable cost. No frills, but breaky and dinner was okay, but lots of restaurants closeby if you prefer. Was an excellent base to see the city as inside the free tram zone and for the time spent in the room all was fine. All staff were pleasant, friendly...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
