Stay was over all good. Excellent location. However there were few issues with service and design that will prevent it from being a 5 star.
Housekeeping service was a little lacking - missed fresh towels or soap/shampoo in most days of our stay. The bathroom toilet flush is placed in such a way that you cannot use it without having to put the lid down every time. Minor annoyance, but should have been done right. Toilet has no separate doors. If you are traveling as a family that restricts the usage to one person.
Breakfast was good, but not great when compared to similar hotels during our stay in Australia. Omelette guy did not seem to be happy doing his job.
Overall - average for the money we paid, specially while comparing to similar brands in Australia.

We stayed here overnight on NYE and took advantage of the package which included $70 spending allowance and parking included. Altogether it was a good experience, although, as to be expected, it was very busy. The room was clean
The pool is underground and I tried to swim but there were more than the 12 people allowed already there with no sign of anyone to control this. So no swimming!
The staff were friendly and helpful otherwise.

Perfect in any way I can imagine but I can only speak about the room and service at the front desk as I didn't use any other facility nor dined there.

Excellent room with all that you need. Came with the option of newspapers to be delivered to the door. There was also an option for the buffet breakfast at a discounted price which I thought was reasonable.

so i’ve finally found a place i like enough to keep coming back! all my melbourne staycations are at the westin. they have great views of the manchester unity building, the town hall, the nicholas building and the cathedral thingy, so you’re surrounded by pretty city views.

the rooms are CLEAN!! i get allergies, you can request an allergy free room and they’ll change out the feather pillows etc.

the staff are super nice!

the shower is to die for... i actually forgot this, this visit and kept putting off until my last day and had the best shower i’ve had all year!

the electrics in my room were a little kooky, and you have to check what’s happening with the metro tunnel works out the front, they’re silent right now but i’m told there’ll be new work on the 14th december. even at its peak, when i was directly above the tunnel entrance the sound was ok, i do sleep with ear plugs as i’m super sensitive to noise. but i imagine new construction at street level would be less fun to listen to.

it’s so central, near all the best restaurants, has a 7-11 across the road for emergency bandaids etc... between lord of the fries and subway i can get a good meal to start my day, and when things get covid normal and we get the allegro breakfast buffet back, well that’s to die for! anything you could imagine for breakfast!

My wife and I had stayed at Westin Melbourne for a weekend getaway. Also, being a local Melbournian we were aware of the hotel's location and amenities (which is its biggest assets being close to everything in CBD), however we never had any experienced staying in this hotel before.

The Hotel doorman/doorlady were super helpful, courteous & friendly, always smiling. The front desk was also very nice. We were quite amazed with the high level of quality of care & service from the staff. Our bags , suitcase and jacket were delivered and were tucked in nicely even before we entered the room. The room-boy delivered my wife's shoes to the room when we forgot to take them out from our car boot as we have our valet service which was coming as a package. What an absolute service to the customer

Breakfast was really nice, everything was cooked to perfection, I have never tasted a hashbrown that good before , coffee was perfectly served to my taste (not too strong and not too light). Also salmon carpaccio & croissant were one of my favourite.
Hats off to the staff at the Allegro breakfast room, as they were very friendly , helpful and attentive to the guests

Room quality was excellent, we were quite lucky that we've got the balcony view towards the Collins St, right next to the Melb Town Hall , it was perfect. Room is super clean, and all of its amenities were functioning very well (e.g. no dust , no worn-out/smelly carpet )

Checking out was also a pleasant experience, as our bags, suites and car were taken care of by the staff , we were asked to wait in the lobby room while the staff were preparing & arranging everything for us , and they're very friendly & polite.
What an absolute experience !

We've been to few places around the world before, Westin's experience is probably one of our best experience so far. We are definitely going to come again. A highly recommended for sure

The Westin is conveniently located a block from Young & Jackson's and a short walk from the MCG. I particularly appreciated the size of the standard room at 38 square metres compared to the smaller rooms found in many other hotels. The room was very clean. Service was spot on - attentive, friendly but not intrusive. While parking was an additional $60 per night, we left the car there until about 5:30 pm, which was well after check-out, at no additional charge. This is a place I want to stay in again next time I am in Melbourne.

We were in Melbourne for the Australian Open. We were not familiar with the area so we decided to say at the Westin and it did not disappoint. We love the consistency of Westin Hotels around the world. Two issues: !) We asked for transportation to be arranged early the morning of our departure because we had a larger group and needed a bus. While the hotel says they pre-arranged, the bus was 25 minutes late so this was a bit stressful. 2) When staying at this level of hotel, it would be nice to have a couple of bottle waters each day that you aren't charged for... even small bottles. Still giving this hotel five stars for everything else that far outweighs these issues.

The point of difference at The Westin is definitely the service.
We have stayed a number of times now and it has been consistently excellent. From the moment we arrived in valet, each staff member we have encountered has been warm, friendly and helpful.

Other great benefits of this hotel is the central location, within walking distance of the city and all the great shopping and theatre.

The dining at the hotel is wonderful. There is the lobby for a spot of lunch, or something a bit stronger! The breakfast buffet is divine, without a doubt my favourite in Melbourne, and the in-room dining options are also delicious, with a great variety.

The rooms themselves are spacious, clean and well maintained.
The technology offers seamless Chromecast connectivity to the tv, and wireless charging for your phone.
The showers are lush with rainfall and handheld options with lovely products.

As we travel with my teenage son who has additional needs, we choose the deluxe room with opening balcony to provide the fresh air for incontinence changing.

Obviously I highly recommend The Westin Melbourne.

This was our first holidays back to Melbourne after 2 years of covid and I am so glad I made the right choice after deliberating between Westin and another 5 star hotel. We took 3 rooms and rode on to the 7 nights long term rates even though we will only be staying for 6 nights. Tonight was already our 3rd night and I must say that we are extremely satisfied with the excellent service that we had experienced since we arrived on 7th morning. From the doorman to the concierge to the lounge staff and the front desk, everyone we met were polite and carries a smile. One particular front desk Asian lady (Tran ? Sorry I didn’t get her name yet but would love to) was extremely attentive and helpful when I asked casually and feedback about an housekeeping concern on the day we arrived which she escalated to her manager. The very same night (7th) I saw her again at the Front Desk n the Manager came out to introduce herself and offered her assistance which was really a nice gesture. We hasn’t had the chance to use the facilities yet (pool n gym) but we definitely will do that in the next few days we will be here. Being in the same industry I truly understand how not easy it is right now for everyone but I can definitely sense the genuine service we hv gotten this far. The rooms we had were worth a mention as they are spacious with comfortable clean beds which was very important to us (my daughters hv allergic skin). Except for the first day we had a little misunderstanding on the housekeeping cleaning timing as we were too tired from our overnight flight, other than that I really couldn’t find any reason why would anyone not love staying at Westin. We hope to enjoy the rest of our few days here and wish to give a big clap to the team !

We also have a 3year old boy. The hotel does not have baby sitter service. You can hire a baby sitter in the city but it's like $70 for 3 hours plus you have pay for their parking. Hope this helped.
