I stayed only one night. I was dead tired due to a hectic & stressful work schedule for the previous couple of months. I just went to bed & slept. The bed was comfortable & the room was quiet. i must have slept for 14 hours straight

If you don't mind getting a wake up call every morning at 7am from the linen company, making noise great. I informed the front desk every morning. Told me it will not happen again. It did. Ask to talk to hotel manager. Manager only called me once I made a complaint to head office. That's a day after I left

Dear T2694GHandrewg, Disappointing to read your review, as I was confident that you were happy with the outcome after our telephone conversation. I have personally spoken with our linen company and requested they take the utmost care when loading the trolleys into the lift. Regards, Wayne Woods General Manager

Arrived at this hotel to smell the strong varnish that had obviously just been applied. Our room was a good size but the torn sofa with stains was a real turn off. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Lovely staff.

Dear Susan R, Apologies that your stay was not the best. We are in the process of refurbishing the hotel and the smell of paint can definitely be off-putting and for this we do apologise. Stage 2 of the renovations will be replacing all the furniture in the rooms, which means no more torn sofas. It is great to note...

We stayed at the hotel for one night in a King room facing the street. The hotel is renovating all the rooms and this room had been completed. It was freshly painted with a new shower and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel is close to the Children's and Royal Melbourne Hospitals with the Trams to take you into...

Yes this place is undergoing renovation but be patient and it will be a gem. Rooms are clean & roomy. Fantastic hot shower which is always welcome. Staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a real find. The food was beautiful, quickly prepared and lovely presentation. Chef is amazing. Breakfast buffet is good value & a nice selection. No super...

Start with the rooms. Old, in dire need of a Refurbishment. Chips of paint missing, bathroom old, curtains old. Did I say old and worn. Walking to my room down a long dimly lit Rundown Corridor you can't help notice the chips of paint missing , that old worn building smell (doesn't smell clean and fresh). Food was actually quite...

Our one-nighter for a wedding anniversary was redeemed from a real disappointment by the Front of House staff. They were personable, charming and very helpful.. under difficult operating circumstances. We knew that renovations were underway but weren't prepared for the broken bed-side lamp, the loose bathroom fittings and the damaged furniture. We were even less prepared to find that the...

I found this hotel clean, staff friendly and rooms with required space and comfort. My only dislike is the need to pay for internet which was quiet limited and expensive. I've been travelling through Europe recently and everywhere I stayed internet access in hotel rooms came as part of the cost of the room. This is a problem Australian hotels...

Noisy. Trams and traffic all day and night. I don't recall reading that parking wasn't free. At $15 per day on the outskirts of the city is just money-grabbing. And no free wifi. Mercure just can't be serious! Never again for me.

Thank Frank C
