Stayed here for a week with my partner. We were on the 20th floor, unfortunately close to what seemed to be a cleaners room? The hallway was very noisy at times for this reason, which wasn't very nice at 11pm. The mattress was very comfy but the pillows were awful! The bathroom is ridiculously small, the door can't open completely...

We always choose Rydges Melbourne when we visit Melbourne usually for a three or four night stay for a mixture of business - trade shows, and theatre. The hotel is ideally located for both. Can't fault the hotel or the service.

I recently stayed at the Rydges for a weekend away with the family. I was in a twin single bed share room with my sibling. The room was clean & comfortable with enough floor plan space to not feel cramped. Bathroom facilities were good. The best part was restaurant downstairs, we had a dinner & 2 buffet breakfasts. The buffet...

Booked the hotel for three nights during our visit to Australia in December. Being a loyalty card member, we got a room upgrade upon our arrival. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Good internet speed (WiFi), nice breakfast spread. And the best part was ideal location in the city. Walking distance to shopping area, restaurants, Grafitti wall, Yarra River...

My Wife and I have stayed here a few times now. The central CBD location is brilliant. The free wifi is one of quickest we have experienced. Previously we have stayed in a Queen Room, which were not overly spacious, the same with the bathroom. This time for a little extra we stayed in an Executive King Deluxe. It was...

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. It is in a great location, the rooms are good (although some I have stayed in have been very small and others much larger). On my last stay the room overlooked the city which was great (although a little noisy but not enough to disturb sleep). The room was spacious...

Was here for a night, having been here before I thought it would be good. I found the bed was a bit soft for my liking. Shower was great with lots of pressure. Main thing that let this down was staying in a room abutting the lift core was a slight sound of lifts, not so much to wake you...

Room was clean. Passage leading to room had dirty carpet which had seen better times. The shower was a major concern. No barriers were there to stop the flow of water into the bathroom.hadto waste a towel to sop up the overflow from the shower,

Booked for Friday night in a Queen room, specified a high room away from elevator so they gave us 13th floor right next to elevator! you could hear the elevator every time it went up and down. I went down to reception and they found us another room down the hall that was much better. Bed was very comfortable, room...

Very quiet hotel. Nice clean streamlined service every visit, I know what to expect and I like it. Positives: location, beds, green rewards card for not getting your room serviced for stays if more then one night $10 credit to use in hotel. Negatives: aircons/heating are hit and miss, most are old and there's about a 20% chance you will...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
