The location, heritage nature and the quiet privacy of this property draws you to it. In the CBD yet in its own quiet world an ideal place to relax after a day full of stressful meetings. I immensely enjoyed my stay at the property

we were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. on arrival met by receptionist opening front door for us, very friendly manner. Room was excellent, and spacious. parking next to property, tram stop outside of address in free tram zone. easy to get around Melbourne close to MCG and other sporting facilities. good stroll to Swanston st, or catch free tram. pity that restaurant was not operating for meals due to Covid restrictions.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel this weekend past for one night. This hotel pays homage to the late, great Australian; Walter Lindrum (the greatest billiard player that has ever lived - his records remain unbeaten to this day), as such its theme is, well, 'billiard hall sheek'?. A grand old billiard table greets you as you walk into the entrance to the hotel, and some very friendly faces await to welcome you and explain how the hotel works. As this is a smaller independent hotel, there are no buffets or large dining/lounge spaces. Rather a small dining room that caters to its guests with 5 star food and service (which my husband and I can attest to), for breakfast, and a small lounge area that flows into the billiard room for extra space, and, perhaps, to encourage some healthy competition at the billiard table amongst guests. The rooms are well appointed with a minimalist approach taken to decor, but with everything you need for your comfort and enjoyment. Unfortunately, amidst the covid-19 upheavals, there is no DVD service currently, which was a bit of a shame, but, this was negligible when it came to our enjoyment of this hotel...we just stayed downstairs longer and played billiards. Overall, the service was excellent, the room was comfortable, the food was excellent and the history of the hotel shines through in every aspect, and, perhaps even providing a little bit of an edge on other independent smaller hotels around Melbourne. You will not get all of the bells and whistles of a 'chain' 5 star hotel, but what you don't get at that level, you get from a well appointment, very friendly environment, with staff jumping over themselves to make your stay memorable. My husband and I highly recommend. As an aside, the waiter forgot about us at the breakfast table as he thought we had been served. When he realised his mistake he made it a point to take our order immediately and returned later in the service to profusely apologise for the error and to offer his sincere apologies. How could we be upset? LOL!

Dear Leisha, We are delighted to know that you had a pleasant stay with us and thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback. Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad we were able to make an impression without all of our bells and whistles being fully operational. We will look forward to welcoming you in the near future! Hotel Lindrum transferred our booking to the Sofitel (Melbourne) as apparently they've been taken over by the defence force. Sofitel guarantees check-in at 2pm but by 6pm our room still wasn't ready even though we booked ages ago. This is bad for both Lindrum & Sofitel. Being treated as 2nd class citizens by 2 very expensive hotels is not good enough. We cancelled and went home. Not a good start to a Mother's Day weekend.

Family get together after lockdown. we took the opportunity for my wife and i to catch up with our adult kids and stay in Melbourne for the weekend. The Lindrum was perfect. The ideal place - great location, great rooms and supported by friendly and professional staff. The hotel has a intimate vibe not always found in the larger hotels. Will stay again Great weekend
