We stayed in here for 3 nights. Our room is on higher levels and the view is stunningly beautiful. The room is very comfortable. The hotel is situated in the heart of CBD, within walking distance to Federation Square and Flinders station. Very convenient to get around the city. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again.

We ate at the lunch buffet today. Food would have been better at a suburban cafe! Not much food on offer either and not the best quality. Would have expected better from a 5* hotel like Hyatt. Staff member abilities questionable. Leo was great but Szu made us feel like we should leave ASAP and didn't smile or speak to...

We had a wonderful time at the Grand Hyatt, our room was beautiful with amazing views of the city on level 25. The only reason Im giving a four instead of a five rating is that my husband tried to speak to concierge the day before we arrived and was told several times someone would call him back. There was...

From check in to check out - the Hyatt delivered the goods. Top quality hotel with outstanding food in the Savoy Ballroom and the Breakfast (too good to miss). Great customer service. Our family will return for sure.

Stayed here this weekend for our anniversary night celebration. The quality of the hotel is great. The only thing I think they could improve on is the area around the lift from the attached car park to the hotel. I know the car park is not owned by them but the fact that you can enter the hotel via this...

The staff were absolutely wonderful from the moment we walked into the building. The room was spacious, clean, and with a great view of St Paul's cathedral. Outlet adapters were provided, and very helpful. We are from a cooler climate, so I would have liked the air conditioner to go below 65 F, but that's really my only critique. Thank...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
