Perfect location for a quick city getaway. Close to China town, QV, Melbourne Central & Emporium. Very friendly staff. Spacious king size room, very quite. This was our 2nd stay as a family and would certainly come again.

Third time here and lived up to expectations.Rooms are comfy and balcony means fresh air when you want it. Staff are helpful and if it's a quiet night in, the food is good and drinks surprisingly cheap.

A good location. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. We were able to walk to a number of major attractions from the hotel and take a nearby tram to other places. Excellent and varied restaurants nearby.

I was booked into an Economy room by my workplace as I was in town for a conference. While I can't fault the location of the hotel and the cost of the room, there were some annoying problems that would probably prevent me from booking a room here again. The wifi in my room was terrible, incredibly slow to the...

Very happy with the location of this hotel. One street back from the Bourke St mall. Upon arrival staff were very helpful and friendly as they were throughout the four day stay here. An early checkin was no problem but we agreed to a room change to accommodate that. The rooms are pleasant enough and clean but our room on...

Had a wonderful stay! Staff were so helpful from the check in to the staff at breakfast. Would definitely stay here again for location, friendliness and great value. Didn't get to use the pool as it was raining bbut the views from the top floor at night looked great.

I travel to Melbourne every week and every week I try a different hotel because I find most, if not nearly all of them are dirty and have extremely bad beds that look 20 plus years old. Even the expensive hotels are dirty. We found this one by accident and although looks a little old and worn out from the...

The location is great, central enough but away from main hustle and bustle of the CBD. Fantastic rooftop pool, and excellent helpful and friendly staff. Can be a bit noisy at times as rooms not praticuarly soundproof.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
